This is true a 100% about AA. AA follows a standardized program, and while it may work for some, others may benefit more from personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.

Thank you for your comment. You're not alone, you stand with 95% of all people who attend and have attended AA. I hope you're alcohol-free journey is going well.

AA was a lifesaver for me. The program, the people etc. I have 6 plus years sober now. I haven't been to a meeting for over a year. I now feel free from the stigma of being as the program say, "A sick person". I did learn to look at myself and my alcoholic thinking. I needed the repetitive meetings and people's stories to achieve this, Alcoholism is a lifetime journey but not a lifelong sentence. Most like going to college. You learn what you need to know but do you want to attend "classes" for the rest of your life. Being free of the disease also means to be free to live your life in an enjoyable, productive manor, which I am now doing. I was beginning to feel like a slave of the program. Living my life around going to as many meetings as I could. Worrying about what other members in the program would think if they didn't see me at the meetings. I'm not knocking AA, it helped me greatly but now I am living "A happy joyous life" Which is what it's all about.

Im glad AA helped you Tim, and congrats on your 6+ years AF. I'm glad you've broken free from the meetings and are simply enjoying the alcohol-free lifestyle.

Living in the free world you are more than entitled to your opinion but it might be dangerous to put doubt in the minds of vulnerable people who have found AA as something to help them in desperate situations. Also all vegans talk about is being vegan

Notice how only the positive comments get a response from this person…. Did not see that she was an alcoholic. Everyone has different ways of dealing with their disease. AA may not be for someone trying to make money on their beliefs, but has saved many people’s lives. Where did 95% statistic come from?

This person is clearly not an addict

This really upsets me - because it proves that its more important for you that your methods are right than to actually help people. To compare the succes rate of AA to your own is just hilarious - NEVER take away hope from someone who is trying to figure out how to deal with addiction. Addiction is also very individual, so its really arrogant of you to act like you know all the answers here.

It would be better be strcit on immigration law rahter than focusing on it. Because, the USA, UK, Canada, Australia will face a big problem if they don’t take any appropriate measures right away. Why random shootings are happening in the USA including other crimes only for taking people as asylum because majority of them are uneducated, dirty and evil mind bearing people.
Therefore, the following steps could be suggested:
    1. No citizenship after 40 years old but only PhD degree holders can have a citizenship but their undergraduate and masters result must be 3.40 out of 4 scale.
    2. No professional short course or Diploma for the poor and developing countries but government officials can have these kinds of short Degrees but they have to be back to their home after completing course otherwise they forced to be deported.
    3. No political asylum for the poor and developing countries because for this kind of convenience, people are encouraged to involve in dirty politics in their home countries but they can have a citizenship if they can pursue a studying or training there but they have to be under 40 years old. If they are above 40 years, they must back home.
    4. No permission to start a business by Bangladeshi so-called Chartered Accountants because they are highly involved in tax fraud through auditing in Bangladesh. And they want to start a business only for human trafficking purpose via business in the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia and other countries. Moreover, they are involved in money laundering in Bangladesh. Thus, no short course, diploma, and business in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia for Bangladeshi so-called corrupt Chartered Accountants.
Please share it to all the intelligence agencies as well as immigration departments in the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia because it is of paramount impotence nowadays, indeed.

This lady's entitlement clearly prevents her from seeing the bigger picture about AA and sobriety. I bet she has never been in a battle zone, or never had trauma from her family growing up. All I see here is a lady trying to build a career from dissing AA and trying to make money from it. This lady has no idea what addiction is. Must be nice .... Y no le digas que usted sabe más que otros. Sal al mundo y aprende más de tu alrededor.
