Venezia can still be poetic even in the rain. You can take a walk in the small and silent secondary streets (called "Calle"); find some small shops of some local artisans, and maybe hear some interesting stories/legends from locals. There are so many little hidden gems 😉👍🏻
You my good sir have reached enlightenment! That is the true beauty of exploring! Not the tourist packed spots but more so the hidden gems that the native people keep safe away from the tourism toxicity. Great answer go look for the mom and pop shops talk to the older folk they have experienced it their whole lives the real history! Thank you and blessings to your sharp mind!✨💯✨

I went multiple times to Venice and I loved it regardless the weather! When it's sunny just explore outside, when it's rainy, just go enjoy museums, orchestra, Opera, or smaller live classic music like Tre tenori concert with Canzone Napoletane or Arie Antique. Is she gonna complain every time it rains? lol I was in rainy Brussels at 4 degrees celcius just yesterday and I had absolutely fantastic time without unbrella, walking around, eating well etc.
Well. Venice is beautiful even with the rain. It depends on where you go in Venice. And how long you stay in Venice. Tourists think to discover Venice in 1 day max 2 days 😂
Watching the video bring so much happiness, seeing the people enjoying life again. I remember watching live streaming and only empty streets. Thank you so much for sharing.😊
When I went to Italy in February it was very rainy the two weeks that I spent there, I love it, rain didn’t stop me from enjoying this country…. and just like the comments say not everything is an Instagram post…,🤷🏻♂️
Like 6 months before your trip? Can you really predict the weather this much in advance? 😉 I don’t think so 😁 I’d say enjoy your trip no matter what weather it is 😉 happiness should come from inside and nothing should spoil it 🙌🏻
Treviso is a great spot near Venice with airport as well. You can find a great apartment like "palazzina trevigiana" or "chiarano home" near the train station (10 min by walk) and then go by to Venice easily because are only 35 minute of train. Treviso is a super cool city as well, and cheaper!! so I think is the best way to visit 2 great city in one trip 🎉
I would like to remind Americans that Italy is not Florida, and that between the end of October and mid-May it is normal for there to be cold, rainy, foggy or even snowy days throughout the country, and especially in the North. Then May is in full spring, an extremely rainy season in Italy. Of course, Italy is a very sunny country, between July and September there can even be a period of drought (mainly due to the average increase in temperatures in the last 10 years), but the Mediterranean Sea is not the Caribbean Sea: it is a sea that tends to be cold for most of the year. Venice is also located north of the Adriatic Sea, which on average is even colder than the rest of the Mediterranean. If you are crazy enough to want warm Italy, come in July and August and you will be greeted by a pleasant temperature of 40 degrees centigrade in the shade... happy with you...
What you expect, that the sun is always there? 😂. Is just rain then, you're there to watch the monuments and eat the local food, not to see the weather.
yeah, maybe check the annual weather patterns of your destinations. They're right there on google. Also, everyone knows that El Nino is closing in. The buildings and the architectural and engineering wonders are still there though, why feel bad? People would kill to trade lives with you
Pov: american tourist learns that rain exists outside the US
😂😂😂😂😂 Indeed!
always surprised at how stupid my fellow countrymen can be!!!
I WAS GONNA SAY THAT LMAO
More like Californian learns that water sometimes falls from the sky.
She's American? With that accent?

Yes u live in real world, no insta :)

In fact Venice's iconic climate is foggy. It gives the city that mysterious mood. And it's fantastic.
it rains in Italy too

Agree. I don't understand the idea of being a bad experience about it just like in the video.
sometimes its happens!... but dont worry... only in real world not on instagram!!!
it rains in italy too, what did u expect, brighter sun 😂
I think you missed the point
The real reality is being surrounded by thousands of tourists and not being able to see any of the good sights
only in the main pathway. I eas there in august and able to find empty squers the crowed move only together in the main streets like sheeps.
Start thinking like a traveler and not a tourist, not only will your trip be superior but also cheaper.

If you know that you were part of the crowd.
August is very hot too
This is not always the case. When I was there, the expectation was real. Lol

Wonderfull in looks but amazing in experience that
Give Italy venice the destination of the world...
Rain is reality, you know? In Italy rains too👍🏻 and Venice is always wonderful ❤️
Sooner or later you had to prove the existence of rain. It was written. The Mayans had also predicted it.
In England this happens all the time it’s just something you have to get used to in Europe, but I love the rain so it doesn’t bother me ☔️

for me its way better, take off the umbrella and enjoy the beauty of this weather.

Last year I think .. so far everything is good 🙂
Yes, in Emilia-Romagna region, not in Venice.
It's only a common rainy day without high water, did you stay in Venice only few days, I suppose?
As you said: there was a lot of flooding in Italy, it seems you said: all Italy it's completely flooded.. Guys try to speak well! 😮
