- In this 30-minute session for beginners, we will work with breath and other foundational elements to set you up for a sustainable and beneficial practice you enjoy! Set to a good pace, we will focus on form and function to increase flexibility, build strength, and regulate the nervous system. Repeat this session with consistency and watch your breath and body transform.
Yoga is for everyone! The hardest part is showing up.
This class is perfect for all beginners or anyone wanting to move more slowly and mindfully.
You will move through breath work, poses for the spine, shoulders, and core, as well as standing poses such as warrior two, and more.

I haven't practiced in a hot minute. I've been needing this medicine, though I was worried about coming back to the mat. I wrote in my journal "it's easier to distract myself than try and practice gratitude and be with my mind and body this way". It's easier before coming on the mat. Funny thing is, when I got to the mat and followed this practice, it was easier to practice the gratitude and being present. Thank you, Adriene. As always, you're wonderful and you have me coming back.
I feel ya. I have 100 things that I need to do and lately I’m doing the “I’ll do it tomorrow” BS. This started in January it’s now May…thank you Adrienne for bringing me back

I love that I saw your comment before practice! I haven’t been on my mat in forever and a day and was feeling nervous about it. Took yoga classes at an expensive gym for 17 years with an instructor that trained under Baron Baptiste. For the past two years, I have switched to a home practice, and that is how I found Adriene. My practice is now very internal, no mirrors, no comparing myself to others, no yoga instructor complimenting only those that excel. Love going slowly, mindfully, and constantly paying attention to how my body feels in the moment. Love going back to a beginners practice and finding something new in the basics. Would not be without a home practice at this point, that is how important and beneficial it has been to me-it also feels like therapy. Thank you Adriene!

This was a perfect timing. I've been doing yoga for quite some time. But the last two months I didn't enjoy it as much as I did before. So my practices went to the short yoga sessions. And I wanted to 'restart' & 'reset' again, so this was perfect.

Brilliant. I have just come back to Yoga and I did your 30 day Move challenge. It was maybe a bit advanced for me but I turned up every day and did it. Now I have started the Breath one but I think the beginners would be best for me. I am hooked on your knowledge and tuition though and trust you completely.
I agree. There is time that my schedule got busier and I feel not like doing yoga at all if it's too long. However 10 to 15 min session is good enough for my body on those days. Anyone needs short Yoga for busy people like me ? 😄

@@coastalslocal you are definitely not the only one! I also check the class length beforehand, and if I've let it too late and it's a long class that day, I switch it up for a short one and prioritise getting more sleep! It's all about finding what feels good for you :)
After doing yoga with Adriene for 65 days now, I feel like I have got to know and appreciate my body again, yet this is just the start of a lifelong journey I think. Beginners practice is still so relevant. The daily practice brings me back to myself and it feels like Adriene reminds me that it is ok to have this time for myself. I need it to download and throw out the negative and start afresh each day. Love the new improving me. Namaste to all ❤️

Hello Adriene, your yoga classes helped me tremendously through the pandemic years, I did a class every day. Since I was diagnosed with osteoporosis couple of months ago, I stopped because I learned that certain moves, twisting, bending, maybe downward dog is not good for me. I’ve missed your classes very much, but I wonder if you would do a modified class for osteoporosis patients?

I've followed Adriene's practices for years but I haven't been able to the past couple of years. Had a baby, then got cancer. After my surgeon said it was okay, I'm finally back on the mat, beginner style to let my body catch up slowly. Feels soooo good to be back ! How I love these practices ! 🥰❣️ So grateful today 🥹

Not a beginner but Just done this one today. I have permanent nerve damage to my left leg. I have recently had sciatica for just over three months and it has left my left leg very weak and I unable to do pigeon, dragon and balance poses. Low lunge to high lunge I am so wobbly. 😅
This was lovely this morning and I am going to carry on in beginner practices until my leg gets stronger again. I have been back to beginner and gentle practices for almost 2 weeks and loving it.

I have taken a month off from my daily practice because of a huge move and life change. Things are finally settling down again and I've been noticing I've been feeling anxious and weak without it. Blessed Beloved Beauties! I substituted Begin Day - 30 for Sunrise Yoga. It is what I needed moreso today before my calisthenics, weight training 💪🏾 and 🏃🏿♀️ run. There's an internal and external freshness. That practice is the first to set the foundation of my YWA journey. Now, today's session appears to be yummy too, so I'll have to return at a later date. I'm back to yoga after months of inactivity, thank you Adrienne! i'd love some support and words of encouragement as I try to get back into exercising again. I told myself that this time: all I need is to show up on the map, no judgment, just gentle movements, whatever feels best. I used to strive to hit a certain goal, because I know that certain movements can make me stronger, and try to challenge myself. But here I am again, but this time, anything will do. Back to self love, back to finding what feels best.

I loved it. I have been following your 20 minute video too. It takes some strength in my arms, but I notice it becoming slowly easier day after day. I will keep using these videos every day.
Edit, I've been following your 20 minute video, the 30 and the 40 minute video for beginnners for a month. I have also been doing some strength training, and after working out for about a month, I had taken a 3 day break of both the gym and this. I started today with my recharged energy and OHMYGOD. I can feel a lot more muscles in my legs, especially my butt. My arms are still weak in holding up endurance, but I can keep up and way stronger. There is more stability in them. I can also do the downwards facing dog in a better position (I have practiced trying to keep my upper body more pushed towards my arms and activating abdominals). I can tell a lot has improved.
I enjoyed this session very much and it encouraged me to think about the basics. I enjoy the longer sessions but, like others have commented, the shorter sessions allow me to fit yoga in each day. Thank you, Adriene, for all that you do for our yoga community!

This was great! The 36 minutes went by much quicker than I expected - and I loved the beginner focus and relatively slow pace, as it helped me to focus more on each pose.

My mom suggested you to me, I'll be honest in saying I have a horrible relationship with my body at the moment, but then again I really always have. My antidepressants have caused significant weight gain in the last year. I'm the heaviest I've ever been, and it's very much affecting me mentally and physically. I hope in my journey with you I learn to love the body that carries me every day, and am able to nurture her back to a healthy weight so we can be happy together.

Me and my dad started yoga together a fortnight ago. He's 71 and needs it a lot more than I do as he's started struggling to tie his shoes. I'm 41 next month and am blessed with being naturally flexible, but it is something I want to keep with practice. It made me happy when my dad told me he likes me to do yoga with him as it motivates him.

I am sure your are aware of your Impact on this World Adriene, but you are not just changing the individual lives of those who are practicing Yoga on a regular Basis but also effecting the people around those individuals and making this Chaotic World a better place. I have experienced it first hand, I am a Nurse at the Intensiv Care Unit and am convinced that if I go to my very sick Patients with good, healing Energy that their health outcomes improves massivly. I have witnessed how people with terminal illneses that cannot "get better" are Happy and are using every moment they still have to say goodbye to this beautiful World instead of spending the time trying to deny it, It has everthing to do with Mentality and perspective. Yoga is the perfekt answer to this, it connects you to your Body, the world and others while making you more and more resiliant to the stresses that naturally come with life. We are Eternal and all this Pain is an Illusion.
So Thank you Andriene, Benji and others for healing the Energy of so many others, to spread it through the World like a Ripple Effect.

This appeared just at the right time for me, Ive not done any yoga for several months and just couldn’t find the motivation to get back on my mat because I’ve put a lot of weight on and desperately knew I had to start moving my body again, so thank you Adriene 🙏 this video,with its title,gave me that motivation to get started again x
