- Blue Crabs, in this video we'll be looking for new Blue Crab spots in the Tomoka Basin area around Ormond Beach Florida. After having little success finding any new crabbing areas we went to one of our spots where we caught Blue Crabs in the past. Using handlines, box traps, ring style traps and chicken legs for bait we had a great afternoon catching Blue Crabs for our dinner. The crabs were running on the small size, we caught about 40 Blue Crabs and keep 14 of the largest ones. After returning home we cleaned and boiled them for another enjoyable crab dinner. #catchingbluecrabs #bluecrabs #catchingbluecrabs Catch & Cook

Grant we don't like the cold either, we got lucky with the truck our son is in the car business and found it for us, 2017 Z71 4 Wheel drive.

From where I live, I watch them Rockets over the lake that I live on go up as long as the Clouds don`t block and I`m in Polk County. On the Metal Traps are there a size limit here in Florida that they have to be. Enjoyed it

One old couple to another old couple! Only time we catch blue crabs is Win we drive 13 hours down to North Carolina Outer Banks. Normally we cruise the upstate New York Erie and Champlain canals in our 30 foot cruiser. No crabs up here in New York State. You guys have all the equipment to catch those blue crabs. Wish we were able to catch them like you folks😢

Okay you two it’s 22 here in south east Alabama at Apalachicola Florida it’s around 30 and my daughter got me two hand line nets kinda like yours I’m SOOO ready to go I’ve got a bag full of chicken necks in the freezer that I soaked in pro-cure so when it warms up I’m gone 😂😂😂😂😂

We always let our chicken meat wigs whatever get a little bit smelly. They always work best when they were bad and bad smelling he might wanna try that.
For us the fresh bait works best, it doesn't take long for it to get smelly when it's sitting in the traps for a couple of days. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year George

hello Sam. I love your videos. Did you fix your stove top? I live in CA in the Mother Lode on the Stanislaus Rivers so we don't get to catch crab. We can catch Cray Fish/Crawdads. Check out Fisherman's Life and Matt does some cray fishing on a few of his videos. Have you done any videos explaining the different traps and styles of traps. it looks like you made your own traps out of chicken wire. Keep up the good work...I'm off to fish for some bass today. I'll keep watching. Isn't retirement great!
