Yukes seem to have been at logger heads with AEW . Yukes made wrestling games of their own in japan that were on the sega dreamcast over 20 years ago. They were also involved in the first smackdown games on the PS1. AEW fight forever looks like it does because yukes were told what AEW wanted. Unfortunately the gamers were not so keen.v
I'd love to see Moné, Ospreay, Okada Takeshita, Evil Uno, Deonna Purrazzo if they do another season. Where's Saraya? Adam Copeland is amazing to play as. Love using him in the Fright Forever arena.
WWE will never release another wrestling game with another company while the 2K series is still going strong as it would damage relationships between the companies an why would they want to compete with themselves. They did this with Battlegrounds an that was crapped on by most people for not beung like tbe 2k games. The most we would get is some weird non wrestling game with the WWE licence like Crush Hour or Immortals.
Battle grounds was crapped on because it was awful. They played it up as an all stars successor but was nothing like all stars. It was essentially a phone game.
Battlegrounds was an initially canceller game brought back to fulfill their contract act 2K and Visual Concepts royally screwed up 2K20 after firing Yuke's. The last time WWE games tried to drum up competition eternally was Legends of Wrestlemania back under the original THQ.
Problem is a new game is years away so I'd rather have more seasons now than wait 2 to 3 years for another game and who knows what AEW and the whole wrestling landscape will look like then.

Mini games and online play really hindered this game. The basics weren’t covered.
