    Ok, I have to comment on the 'ice staying cold longer'...
    To start, I totally agree in not following the trends and I do not own a Stanley...BUT, I do own multiple vacuum insulated cups because we live in Arizona. In the summer time, you have to have them if you do not want to drink warm/hot water. It is just a fact. Also, you do not have to deal with all the condensation that comes with the plastic cups. It is just a way of life out here. 😁

    • @UniqueSilverBerry
      @UniqueSilverBerry Před 3 měsíci +2

      Also plastic isn't good for us and you definitely don't want the plastic getting warm and leaching toxins into your drink. But 1 stainless steel water bottle or tumbler and it will last for YEARS. I have one that is 1 liter and is 6 years old and still going strong.

    There is very little in this world that one needs to acquire 'new' - food, medicine, lenses for glasses / contacts, certain personal hygiene products (feminine products, toilet paper), but the rest - thrift stores, eBay, Poshmark, Craigslist, Fakebook marketplace, etc., etc., etc. And for whoever asked - frugality is a way of life and not dependent on one's net worth. I grew up in an upper-middle class household like this and it stuck. Made living in 3rd world countries a whole lot easier to tolerate. Keep up getting the word out @Frugal Fit Mom!!

    We are a family of three and I caught us spending about $220 sometimes $230 a week on groceries. I quickly put a stop to this and we are only buying exactly what I need to make meals during the week and stocking up with $10 a week on shelf stable Foods. For the past month and a half our weekly bill has been around $120 a week. I have very many dietary needs I am gluten-free, can't eat a lot of foods because I'm diabetic so I do need some specialty products. But now none of our food is going in the garbage I buy exactly how many peppers I need and if we don't use them I freeze them for meals like sausage and peppers and onions. It's been a great experience and I've learned this from people like you and other frugal people on CZcams the only thing we buy in bulk is maple syrup because that's our main sweetener toilet paper and paper towels. I know I said paper towels but I'm also legally blind so I spill a lot of things LOL

    I used to think exactly like you in that I thought the Dawn Power spray was a way to sell air !!
    However, I did try it once and OMG it works SO well!!! It actually saves $ because you can spray only certain areas and you don’t use a “glob” of soap. Also, you can make your own (using the empty spray bottle) by mixing rubbing alcohol, water and liquid Dawn.
    I use my credit cards for almost all my purchases and then pay off the entire balance each month. This allows me to accrue cash-back from the cards. (Beating them at their own game).

    When I first watched Seinfeld in the early 2000's, I couldn't get into it because I thought there's no way there are people that crazy, that sensitive to offense, that angry, and that terrible to other people all the time. I couldn't relate to it, having been raised in small town Oklahoma where everyone is so nice. But then I moved to NYC for a couple of years, and learned that Seinfeld is a downright documentary of human life in NYC. It's nuts out there. A couple of times locals told me, "I can tell you're not from here. You're too sweet." Now I fully enjoy the show like I couldn't before.

    We make sure that if there’s more than 1 serving each of leftovers we package the extra into individual meals and freeze. Perfect for crazy mornings when there’s nothing to grab for lunch at work. We don’t mind eating leftovers for lunch the next day but more than once is iffy. The freezer lunch also saves us money when we don’t have any leftovers since it saves us from buying lunch out for $$$.

      Same; this is how I shop on Walmart and Target now for most cleaning supplies, paper products, and non perishables. I either do pick up or shipped to my house if I'm qualified for free shipping. I don't feel the need to mindlessly walk around the store and be tempted to buy things I didn't need.

Kramer has to go to the bathroom so darn bad and can't wait!! He is complaining the whole time!! I watch quite a few British or Canadian TV shows. Most of them you can probably get at the library. The first one is from Canada based on a series of books. The title of the show is Murdoch Mysteries. It is on like season 14 or 15 so that should keep you busy for awhile. It is fairly family friendly. It is about a detective in Toronto in the early 1900's. They have a lot of funny modern references. Another British show is called Miss Scarlet and the Duke. It takes place in the 1800/1900's. The Duke is a police officer and Miss Scarlet is a private detective when there were no female private detectives. There are 4 seasons of that show. I recently re-watched Babylon 5 which is a 5 season sci-fi show that I really enjoyed. I watched it free on Tubi.
