I decided to check what mods have popped up for Starfield since I played back at launch and I stumbled upon the Odyssey Mod Collection. It fixes a lot of problems and improves many elements of the game.

There is also this really awesome immersive mod called starvival. It adds the three basic needs, changes combat difficulty, and also your ships need fuel to travel. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to come back to starfield.

Since the patch I notice ships landing nearby now happens rarely. I'm still on my initial (restart) game where I am attempting to survey all star systems prior to doing much of the main quest line. So far about 40% done and at level 92 (using 125 mods with scan boosted range, 2x experience, double enemy numbers, better loot drop rate). Still when I do visit a ship that lands nearby they are still empty (still a bug). The missing one animal bug still exists on Beta Marae I wetlands region.
faster selections when traveling, more organized menus creating a faster constantly required menu experience. cool
So I'm assuming if you have the beta installed you won't be able to use this?
Clearly, even with the updates and mods to make the game run smoother, this guy's playing on a fairly high end PC. Shame specs weren't shown. Nice vid still - thanks.

I am playing with Oddysey, and it's crashing, but I really like it. Any advice?
Yes, I just started another NG+ game after a couple of months break.
Not sure why this game got so much grief, I really like it.
Really would love DLC or creation kit release but over all this is the game I play the most, even more than BG3.
Been quite a few updates in last few weeks because the mods require newest versions to work.

I played about 200 hours on gamepass in a month then canceled my subscription because i dont wanna keep paying it but im gonna wait for the first dlc to drop and then probably get back into it. Also excited to see what comes when the mod tools are released.

It’s pretty good, 8/10. The ship building is really good, ship combat is good, I like the settlement building. The cities are decent, I just wish they added more. The factions are all fantastic and I like how BGS went back to old dialogue options, like Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I think the biggest problem is the main story. The structure of it is really really bad, but the story is interesting. Some of those side quests though, really fun to go through. Ground combat is good as well.
@@ArthurMorganIsTheGoat by what you say, id thik youd give it a 9 on 10, anyways for me as this is a bgs game, idc about the main story that much, but yes it is good, might be the best bgs main story, factions are by far the best out of any bgs games hands down, my only gripe is the exploration, thats severely mid, it needs to generate more pois and different ones, but apart from that, great game, i give it a 9 on 10, will easily be 10 on 10, if they give us ground vehicles

Haven't the patch updates made the ai more smarter/agressive at higher levels.

It's looking that way. It just doesn't feel like they have tons of people working at BGS with how slow they are not just with Starfield updates but other game updates too. Did a lot people get let go when Microsoft bought them and just kept quiet about it? Sure seems like it.
And this is was the start of my first disappointment when I realized I couldn't even exit the planet in my own ship LMAO. Horrible sell and we were all suckered.. great job Todd.

Its always been a good game. People gotta learn to separate the quality of a game vs the quantity of its issues as a computer program. 👍
Quality in what. If you presume this game to be fun. I just imagine what your personal life must be like. The game was fun in the beginning. Because I did not know what to expect. After the first 4 days of playing this game, it got repetitive extremely quick for you to call this game fun. I just imagine what you considered fun on your day to. Day basis.😂😂😂😂

The biggest problem with this damn game is the npcs, they are extremely boring as hell. The game itself though is great tbh. Just bethesda has stop doing what everyone else does and make a compelling story with characters, but they chose the cowards way out didnt want to "offend" anyone. Please do offend i want to explore in a world where it has actual issues, not the boring universe that we start out in.

@@abrahambobst4602 They are trying to make an inclusive product, but by doing that you exclude the ones that it was marketed to. I understand why they do it (cultural Marxism, forcing behaviors) but it’s not a good longevity tactic for the game overall. But I have heard that dev teams who do these kinds of things will get infinite funds, so they will hire the worst writers to appease the banks. Gaming is like the movies now, especially after everyone supported Baldurs Gay 3 from here on out.
@@Kjllo1216 Totally agree, thankfully there are mods to fix the ugly npcs, unfortunately don't know what can be done to fix the lore or story since BGS has joined the race the to the bottom with the rest of the entertainment industry.

Game does a lot of things well. Granted the main story first run through is quite lame but NG+ deals with that.

What could possibly fix bland and boring? Bethesda is in a serious rut. The tech is bad. The writing worse. I played a hundred hours. Kept convincing myself this was fine. Wanted better gold weapons. Then one day the spell broke and I realized it was a massive mediocre mess. Not expecting a Cyberpunk turnaround. Todd thinks this is wonderful, a thousand planets.
