    Thanks for the podcast. Saints are in good form at present and now Jeffers has been restored to the starting line up (why was he ever dropped) we will easily make the play offs

      Glad you enjoyed it. Always good to see match at Plainmoor. We are struggling, but I still think GJ can turn it around. We don't want to do a Don O'Riordan, in my view.

      Must be tough for your south western teams players, so many long trips for the players. Not sure if you need a manager change, not always the answer @@stevedogwildman2133

      I agree. Getting players in is tough, no matter who the manager. The club need to stick together. There is much hatred towards the owners, but the owners have put in £2-3m over the last few years, so I don't see them being as bad as many do.

    From the Popside, the lino and ref had a brilliant game and got every call right except for Lapslie diving at the end, the first goal was 100% onside. We were looking for excuses just because we were shit. Not good enough #JohnsonOut #SavePlainmoor

      I thought they were fine. Still can't fathom out the formation. Our midfield were always the wrong side, leaving loads of space for runners to move into and constantly stretch our defence. Hey ho!

    I’m a St Albans fan and I feel for you lot, your a good club with a very good fanbase and Johnson seems like such an idiot so good luck in getting rid of him, on the other hand brilliant performance from us and our fans were apparently very loud as well

    • @stevedogwildman2133
      @stevedogwildman2133  Před 6 měsíci

      I don't think he is an idiot. Injuries and a few bad decisions have hurt us, but as a club we need to stick together. At the end of the day, if we put together 10 wins on the bounce, GJ isn't transformed from fool to genius.

    Johnson needs to go at this point

      I'm unsure. I know it sounds crazy. But my view is we need wins, nothing else. If GJ can make that happen then great, and I know people will say he's had a chance.

      I read what you said about the water etc. And you're totally entitled to that view and I understand it. All is good here!

    i like your channel and the way you present, but please, please for the love of god, you keep pushing this toleration angle, please get real. It is time to get more vocal and take action like never before against the ownership. If we don't unite on this issue, the club is going further down the drain for Osborne's end goal. He is relying on the exact apathy you are displaying in your match summaries. Frankly, what is happening on the pitch is almost irrelevent at this point, we have a much bigger fish to fry. But we all need to be on the same page and that seems to be our biggest block because for some reason people from Torquay seem to feel they can't do/repeat the actions already shown to be possible by of other sets of fans around the country, is there something in the water is causing this docility?

    • @stevedogwildman2133
      @stevedogwildman2133  Před 6 měsíci

      Trouble is, last time we went to sell the club, only Osborne was interested. He's put £2-3m in, so without him we'd have nothing anyhow. Other than that the club appears to be run fine at match days, and I don't know the inner workings to comment further. Is the club worse now, off the pitch, than 35 years ago, when I started supporting? I don't think it is.

      @@stevedogwildman2133 there are certainly angles to consider, but the thing is, he bought the club with one end goal in mind and it wasn't the success of the club. We are now seeing his plan approach it's latter stages, i believe. Regarding funding and what he's put in, we need some forensic accountancy to shine a light on this because none of it adds up as to why we are so incredibly unsustainable, with the gates we can get, the ticket prices etc.
      It is absolutely worse of now than in the 80's, when i too began watching (1987 n the Popside) we were a league club then for starters. Bateson then entered the scene and stabilised things financially. We had a promotion and some decent FA cup games and and 2 wembley finals, all after the low of the 80's, can we say that there is any potential for that happening in the next few years? Also, can you imagine back in the 80's, a manager overseeing a relegation and then the following season such terrible form, not being replaced? So off the pitch it is being run badly, yet, on the surface, on matchday, all the superficial signs are in place to give a false impression that all is fine.
      Also, we don't know what we would have now, without him, yes we may have gone bankrupt, and may now be AFC Torquay, momentum would have gathered pace and the support galvanised through it being the only option but to get behind a new venture, we would likely be around where we are now in NLS if Osborne wasn;t on the scene, with the exception that we would likely also have a much healthier outlook and positve, fan owned club.
      It is time to take an honest look at exactly what is being done to the club, Osborne is not the saviour he is a patient, cold, calculating man. He is relying on us to do nothing and for there to be split opinion on him with the exact rhetoric of "where would we be without him" used to cause that divide.
      We need to unite as one voice if we are going to have a club in future and we need to fight like never before.
      have you joined TUST?

      No I haven't. I disagree with alot that they have to say, and so no. I'll continue in my style as I tend to focus on the match in my reports, that won't change. If you want to put out some videos about the club, then go for it. We have differences of opinion, and it's nothing to do with the water, but if that's your view. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the video.

      @PrimalHyroxUK thanks for this! I appreciate what you are saying, and really appreciate your view. In the first instance, even if we disagree about some things, we need to make sure that it doesn't tear us apart, as we all have the gulls at heart! Coyy!
