PACKING FOR AIR FORCE TECH SCHOOL

- Heya! Thank you for tuning in to my video. So, I don't usually see people post videos on what they pack for Tech School after BMT. I'm assuming it's because people don't really pack for it. They usually buy everything they need when they get there.
My idea of packing for tech school specifically was because:
1. I don't want to have to run to the BX in order to get a bunch of things I need. Some people say that at the tech school I'm going to be at for my job, the BX is pretty far from the dorms, so I wanted to make my life easier and pack all the things I'll be needing.
2. I won't have my car with me at tech school so making a run to Target or something like that is going to cost me extra with having to order a cab.
3. I want to save as much money as possible when I get out of BMT so I figured I'd make all my big purchases now so I only have to spend money on things such as food and cleaning supplies when I get there.

Thank you! I asked my husband (prior service) if they would bring my suitcase with them to my graduation feom basic and he was dumbfounded...said I could just buy what I need when I get to tech school. No. I like to have what I keed on hand and buy what I want if I want.
I should’ve packed for tech school. I had family mail me everything I could get at the time & I definitely spent a lot of time in the BX & at the post office from all the Amazon orders.
Yes I noticed not a lot of people pack for tech school and I’m glad I did because I basically had everything I needed besides food and cleaning products

I've heard of those open when letter idea before. I love those Trader Joe's bags. I have 4. I'm excited for you. Somebody tried recruiting me after high school, they got my phone number. Probably because I was in marching band for 4 years. My eyesight keeps getting worse though, so it probably would not have gone well. I told them no. They called me back, I said no again. And like I get lost so easily; I barely know my way around where I live. I don't do well in other cities. Once my family and I went on vacation to Chicago, and I got separated and was lost for 3 hours. Somebody helped me get help though. And I have a mental illness.
Yes! I haven't had the chance to write any since the last portion of my tech school was so busy >_< But hoping to write some now that I have some free time.
Are you taking all that to BMT as well? Are you driving or flying to your tech school? At tech school you could be sharing with up to 3 people ... You might not have enough room for everything. Easy if you can switch out if family will see you at graduation ... but ... you would have to clear that with your MTI. A great idea if you can do this though. OK off to watch what you packed! Twin XL sheet set for the dorm at Tech school and if you are living in the dorms at First Duty Station. How many bags did you end up taking to tech school? I guess I need to watch a later vlog because I don't see how you were able to arrive at BMT with everything here and then 4 bags from BMT and all what you have here ...
I was put on a bus and driven to my tech school. I packed these bags and had my boyfriend bring them for me since my tech school was only about 30mins from Lackland. And I had plenty room for everything I packed. Thank you for watching! :D
So when your boyfriend brought your stuff where did you put it before traveling to tech school?

Hello! I was in DEP for about 3-4 months. I got in quite fast
So after basic than you can take these items ? When you go to AI ? I am going active and I am trying to figure out when are you able to bring more personal items like in your video ?
Heya! So if your tech school is close like how mine was, I was able to have someone bring it down to me the day I got to tech school. If your tech school is further away, you can always have things shipped to you. Hope that helps!
Do you get a break to go home between BMT and Tech school?
In the AF you are shipped to your tech school directly from bmt, then you do RAP after tech school. Where you go home and work with your recruiter.
