Very clean pans both times. Bullieds are pretty quiet at speed!

    Absolutely sensational

Clan Line and all the rebuilds had the chain driven valve gear removed and replaced with walschearts link motion valve gear; so, no, they don't have that in common either.

Very nice second angle looking back along the track. It was clearly not Tangmere since, as I recall, her front is sort of covered in smoke and does not eject very cleanly.

Tangmere is a BB or WC class in original condition with chain-driven valve gear. Clan Line is a reconstructed Merchant Navy with Walschaerts valve gear.

Very nice. Weird those camera angles. Makes it look like we should be doing 35 through Hook on the Fast rather than 90 (100 for Disastros but we're sadly limited due to guarantees on the engines).

Thanks. I accepted the timing as reported in Steam Railway.

    1. Tangmere is, like all pacifics, a 4-6-2 not 4-6-0.
    2. This is not Tangmere it is Clan Line, which is a completely different class of locomotive.
    3. Clan Line was massively altered when rebuilt in the 1950's and so now mechanically and visually has next nothing in common with Tangmere which is a Battle of Britain Pacific in original condition.

Apart from the chain driven valvegear

@@merlinlandzend698 It lost chain driven valve gear on it's rebuild.
