as a Nashville Mega fan, People Here absolutely hate Chicago and somewhat St Louis. Early 2000s definitely Detroit

I think there is a good rivalry between Anaheim and Nashville but it's definitely Detroit, Chicago at 1 and 2 since cities are geographically closer.

I would say Chicago as a hated rival. Winnipeg is more of a friendly rivalry game. I would say St Louis is starting to become a rival these last couple of years
blackhawks and the stars for leaving minnesota.
Colorado is a rivalry (albeit one that is kind of dead since the Avs tanked after we played them in the playoffs) and Chicago is a big one since the Northstars rivalry with the Blackhawks carried over with the Wild (it's still Minnesota after all). St Louis has become a bit of a rivalry especially since we've played them twice now in the playoffs and each team has a series win. Winnipeg is whatever. Those games are fun to watch but I still have massive respect for the team (for the most part) and I don't think there's much hate between the groups.
Colorado a little too since those playoff series'.

As a coyotes fan LA is a huge rival and also if the coyotes had a rival that isn't in their conference then I would say Detroit
My favorite rivalry right now is Oilers vs Flames (as a rangers fan) but I think that the Jets vs Oilers has a potential to be explosive. The Jets continue to get better and I would love to see a playoff series with them next season. plus a player rivalry with Laine vs McDavid

The Montréal - Québec rivalry was epic. We caller it "The Battle of highway 20"
Personally, I prefer rivalry between Habs and Bruins. I’m an Hans fan and there is respect Montréal and Boston, which is not the case with Québec and even with Toronto.
Detroit vs Anaheim is my favorite Ducks rivalry. Kings vs Ducks is must watch hockey, every game is a classic.
The Jets have a rivalry based on the Ducks sweeping them in their first trip to the postseason since they were brought back to Winnipeg.

I would have raised more of a stink about this if the Wings were still in the West, but people forget how huge the Wings-Ducks rivalry was.

Zi0n Pancake, they most certainly did when the Wings were in the Western Conference. In Anaheim's brief existence they met the Wings in the playoffs more than the Avs did, and there was some nastiness in those series, particularly in the Corey Perry years.

Ottawa has a rivalry with Montreal and used to have an intense one with Buffalo too before both teams sunk into the basement for 6 years

Late 90's-2009, Ducks and Red Wings built a heated Rivalry through their numerous playoff catchups that came to a head in 2007 and 2009. Shame the Red Wings switched Conferences
I think you missed Detroit and Columbus. While it's been overshadowed by the Pens lately (and lacking intensity), the Ohio vs. Michigan rivalry plays a pretty strong role when the two play each other. That being said, it's more of a fan rivalry than a player rivalry. A lot of people don't think about this unless you're from one of the two states, but it extends way beyond college sports.
The rivalry actually started as a political war over the Toledo strip in the 1830's, and while mostly political, we haven't gotten along since.
The Jackets and Rangers don't particularly like each other either, due to the Rick Nash incident a few years back.
Personally as a Leaf fan my biggest rivals are
1. Montreal
2. Buffalo
3. Ottawa
4. Boston

Leafs#1 leafs habs is a one-sided rivalry and it’s pretty much dead. Habs fans only care about Boston and it was more important when the French and the English hated each other

Colorado and the Minnesota Wild has a pretty big rivalry i believe. Andrew Brunette scored the Game 7 overtime winner against the avs in 2003

pred the awesome I am a Blues fan, but I find it very hard to hate Preds. I really cheer them to Cup atm. I hate the Hawks and Dallas personally the most. There is even a little rivalry starting with Wild I think.

Devils big rivalry is the Rangers and there is some playoff history, most notably 1994 and 2012 when the teams met in the conference finals. Flyers would be the second biggest because of playoff meetings and proximity
The one problem is you guys have never been inside the SAP center or the Staples center when the Sharks face the Kings, or vice versa. To explain my point, don’t wear a sharks jersey to a Kings game; you will get multiple beers poured on you.

The Canucks and Blackhawks have had some intense playoffs series:
In 2009 & 2010, both teams were talking trash to each other. For an example, Dave Bolland called the Sedin twins sister.
In 2011, The Canucks almost blew a 3-0 lead against the Hawks with game 7 ending in an overtime.
Sorry so many comments, binging watching, lol. Nashville's main rivalries have traditionally been mainly with the Red Wings and kinda Chicago. These are both more of a fan rivalry in the home town though - There are several large car manufacturing plants that moved to the area in the past 30(ish) years so there has been a HUGE influx of transplants from the Detroit/Chicago areas down here who maintained their team loyalty. Best game I ever went to was a Preds vs Wings game a few years back and I swear there were so many more fights in the crowds than on the ice, lol.

You forgot about Detroit's history with Toronto, and I lived in North Carolina (half Hurricanes fan here) during the years they were really good, they hate the Capitals the most. Also, the Wild, Blues, and Preds fans I know all hate the Blackhawks the most because of recent playoff battles. Boston beat Vancouver so bad they ruined the Canucks franchise. Buffalo and the O6 teams have far more than the rest of the 23+1 teams. Lots of teams hate the Pens and Blackhawks but its one sided hatefests.

They still do, it was down there for a while I will admit but it's back on the rise with Babcock going to Toronto and becoming their coach, Shannahan being in the front office, oh and most importantly Toronto looking like they on the upswing. But perhaps the biggest reason is geographical the only thing separating them is a bridge. Go Red Wings

I miss the hawks/wings rivalry ): I was so sad when Detroit moved to eastern conference. We still chant "de-troit-sucks" at home games when we play them instead of "let's-go-hawks"
They might be in separate conferences now but the hate is very much still there between Chicago and Detroit. It's such a historical series from the early days of the NHL and even though they only play twice a year fans from both sides are still passionate about the rivalry. Wings and Leafs aren't big fans of each other either it's a little bit of a rivalry

As a Sharks fan, I can confirm that we hate the Golden Knights. I went to a game back in March (it wasn't against the Golden Knights tho) and when they were announcing the scores from around the league, when they got to the Golden Knights score, everybody started booing

Ottawa isn’t a rival of Pittsburgh, but the penguins and blue jackets have a rivalry where even though the pens have dominated the series lately, the games are always heated and tight
Toronto vs. Buffalo is going to be a great rivalry sometime in the near future because of their geography, but also because each of those teams got a player at the top of the last two drafts who was billed as a "generational talent". A lot of people actually rate Eichel ahead of Matthews. Watching those two players grow opposite one another is going to be very entertaining. If Buffalo had won that lottery and gotten McDavid, this rivalry would possibly be even more intriguing, but it is still great as it is.
I definitely agree with the DET/PIT rivalry. It's really the only one that still exists for Detroit now that they are in the East. It was great in the '08 and '09 SCFs. A couple of the best finals series ever.

Rangers vs flyers is pretty big when it comes to original 6 rivalries and when they vs in the playoffs like when Carcillo scored like 3 years ago in the playoffs they all gave him the finger we have like such a hatred for each other its unreal
one rivalry you guys missed is Wpg and Minnesota. We're close together (8hr drive tops) and so many fans will go to those games from each city. it's quite a bit farther to drive to any other nhl city. they're also divisional rivals which increases the stakes

they've always been one of my favourite teams just because I find them really exited to watch with Mike Smith being a very active goalie, all the young players and I love they're new home and away jerseys

I find during the regular season when the Leafs play Boston , Ottawa & Buffalo it's always good hockey & a good series. Especially Boston. My dad is a Bruins fan , so as a leafs fan it's always fun watching them play during the regular season

It was a great rivalry but short lived Boston Montreal is a rivalry that's been going on for 100 years and Boston and Montreal have met in the playoffs more then anyone in all 4 major sports

As a Senators fan, I have to argue the battle of ontario rivalry as our main rivalry as it has not been as important as it use to be in the past. I would say Ottawa's biggest rival nowadays has been the Montreal Canadiens (Although the Pittsburgh Penguins have been a super close second; given the playoff series over the past decade in '07, '08, '10, '13, and this past season)
As a wings fan our rivals are pretty much the Atlantic division minus Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Chicago, but mainly Tampa right now because of recent playoff match-ups with them
