Sultan Murad (Metin Akdülger) learns that Kösem Sultan wanted to kill him. Sultan Murad learns that his governor has agreed with the physician and sends Emir Çelebi's head to Kösem Sultan (Nurgül Yeşilçay). Valide Kösem Sultan, who learned that Sinan Pasha was a traitor, realizes that he has been exposed. Helpless corners. Knowing that Sultan Murad will not stop anymore, Kösem Sultan takes measures to protect Şehzade İbrahim.

Bağdat’tan dönen Sultan Murad, aldığı savaş yaralarıyla iyice takatten düşer. Hastalığı iyice ilerleyen Sultan Murad yatağa düşer. Sultan Murad’ın vaziyetinin kötü olduğunu öğrenen Kösem Sultan oğlunun başında bekler. Ana oğul hasta yatağında hesaplaşır.

I loved how safiye sultan described hurrem sultan. And her every words are true.
Now I understand why the show was named Magneficent Century,and they chose exactly Kosem and no other Sultana to represent the sequel....Sultan Suleyman was The Magneficent Sultan and even Father,and Kosem was The Magneficent Mother as title.
Safiye about Hurrem: "They say just a whisper of her was enough to turn off the voices of all women."
That is so true in many aspects.
But Safiye also says that she never saw a woman more beautiful than Hürrem. Is that even correct? Did she even meet Hürrem before she died? Mirhimah handpicked her herself to be the favourite of Selim's son, but that doesn't mean that the young Safiye met Hürrem in person.

I really want to see this series potrays Nurbanu and Selim reign and how Safiye struggling as a consort in the harem. I also want to see how Nurbanu treats her and Murad treats her. Of course i also want to see Safiye life as Valide Sultan to his son and see Halime and Handan life as consorts to Mehmed. I feel incomplete but i still love this series 😭♥️

The ring was not pass to Nurbanu but she stole it frm the late Hurrem.

The ring was not passed from Hurrem to nurbanu , the ring was stolen from Hurrem after her death by nurbanu 😡😡
Safiye Sultan's story about the ring bring back the memories of Hurrem Sultan, Nurbanu Sultan, and of course herself when she was just a young haseki in the last of episode of Magnificent Century S1.
While the S1 potrays the life of Sultan Suleyman and the beginning of 'Sultanate of Women', the S2 is more about the 'Sultanate of Women' itself. Like Safiye Sultan said, while men sit in official position, women of harem running the empire 'behind the curtain'.
You can read "Imperial Harem" or "Empress of The East" by Leslie B. Pierce for more research-based information. Yeah, I know, there are many fictional aspect in Magnificent Century, but I think there are some little detail which based on research, popular assumption made by the academicians, or accounts made by people live in those era.

No matter what people say, history proves that the Ottoman Empire started to collapse ever since a slave was married into the royal family. Hurrem was a slave. Slaves perceive power differently from someone raised in power. Concubines were meant to be mere slaves without influence and kept away from politics. So many people WITHIN the empire get killed and betrayed and get falsely accused just to keep a slave on top as opposed to someone justfully on top (Suleiman’s son Mustafa for example). Even in Muslim law that ottoman were supposed to follow but they didn’t, women are not programmed to rule, and this shows why
How old is Safiye supposed to be at the start of this video? Mirhimah brought her to Selim, Süleyman's son... She's a grandmother at least and still stunningly beautiful.

in hjistory it was kosem is the most powerful sultana, none of hurrem, nurbanu nor safiye hold kosem position as valide/regent , all tjose are just hasekis or consort, kosem alone ruled the empire during the childhood of murad , she acted as ruler/regent to her son for 10years and also during ibrahims reign and her grandson so it means she became regent not once but thrice , no other sultanas do it only kosem
