I've saved this video in my favourites and have watched it many time since the Paralympics. I love watching it, mainly because of that amazing bust of speed by Oliviera but also because of the ridiculous biased comments made by those amateur commentators who never even mentioned Oliviera's name until after he had crossed the line.
"came out of nowhere"... "crazy burst of speed, who knows where that came from". Unbelievably awful. The speed came from training hard, maybe?
Actually he did come out of nowhere, and it was an incredible burst of speed. To say either of those things is not biased commentary. It was a truly remarkable performance and comeback, the commentators acknowledged that
Agreed. As someone from the same city as Alan, I feel disrespected.
the narrator dint even say the brazilian name until he wins, suck that, here is BR
Here is br poha!
Brasil caralho
The Brazilian silenced everyone. lol
He came out of no where lol
@mOchi I just don't get why they skip athletes like that.
Did they check him for doping?
@@sibusisosibiya7429 He was dead last as the bend
I love the silence in the crowd... And the frustration from the commentators. Go Brazil!
Are these commentators serious??? "Pistorius will win....I'm going to go out on a limb...." *facepalm"
fantastischfish Oh my goodness!
2:23 I'd say Oscars going to win this one.. "I'm going to go out on a limb" not a wise choice of words....
Lol...Such gold.
that silence in the stadium when it's over! like everybody is in shock
is funny to watch this video, because the brazilian made a good suprise, even suprising the speaker, i bet the speaker was looking for Oliveira's name as he show up from nowhere
O estádio em silêncio, o narrador em silêncio, o comentarista em silêncio, o mundo todo em silêncio...... aqui é Brasillllll porrrrra.
Drogado!!!
BRASIL KARALHO!!!!!
Oscar is going.. Oooh wait! I love how the Alan Fonteles shut up the commentators! More respect from Brazilian Athletes next time!!
An incredible and UNEXPECTED victory for the young Brazilian guy here. Amazing "second wind" in that last 50 metres by Oliveira!!!! How the hell did he find so much extra in the tank lol???
Alan Fonteles is a legend!
The narration was ridiculous! BRAZIL!
Ok...
And you can be proud that your guy isn't a murderer
Chora no banho
Aqui é Brasil
How to accept losing a favorite? Congratulations Alan Fonteles From Brazil !!! The world knew him now !!
This is way too good! Can't stop watching it! The 2 Bozos (journalists) skip Oliveira during the intro and couldn't even pronounce his name when he crossed the finished line. That was certainly the most embarrassing moment of their professional careers. Love it! :)
Congratulations to THE greatest paraolympic runner of all times: Oliveira! Attaboy!
Comentarista! Nunca mais vai esquecer do Alan!
e tb, ira anunciar todos!!
commentators were so bias.. it was as though there was injustice
Obrigado Alan!!!
Ppl just dont want accept that a guy like Alan coming from a brazilian village is better than Oscar!! Its just an envy envy world!!! Its Sports ppl,the best always wins!!
They read a tweet! Hahahaha! I'm brazilian and I was completely shocked when I watched this. And then, in the end, they say: "We waited all night to see the greatest paralympic ever and he gets beaten by a 20-year-old brazilian." So amazing.
Right.
The way they ignore the Brazilian in the beginning is almost disgusting. Then during the race he almost ignore the win, a second before the end he still imposing his choice for Pistorius. A bit of ignorance and probably some prejudice involved.
I was just thinking the same thing. They introduced all the other athletes until they got to him and then it was like "Yeah, thanks for coming, enjoy the show" Well, Oliveira had other ideas.
jajaja is not "portuguese"
At least learn how to create a bait.
The British speaker Got screwed talked to much about others And they only got him he said the won he’s Brazilian
cause he was a cheat. His blades were 6" longer than anyone elses
@@ATLCane Do you think they put any blade without aprovement? The Blades was legal, if is correct or not is another history.
Just incredible 🙌💥
Oscar: I got this
Cardoso: Nitro switch engaged
haha, the commentator: "I'm gonna go out on a limb..." xD
If you listen carefully, you can hear the whole stadium collectively gasp. Here is the most-watched athletics video of the London 2012 Paralympic Games #1yearon
Because it was incredible final. :D
a
Really touchin man!,

What a comeback!
All these guys are so inspiring. They show us all what great things an individual is able to achieve despite the turns of fate. Respect.

you are amazing guys!!!!!
Love this men, it's amazing!
Alan is the greatest paralympian ever, That's what the commentator said at 2:50 obviously having Pistorius in mind. Viva o Brasil
Thanks! You will be more than welcome in our country!
Well it shouldn’t be a ‘shock’ when a young Brazilian wins, give him some credit. Oscar is a murderer..
@A Godartti Oscar is in the jail now , for shooting his girlfriend. Google it …
"I'm going out on a limb here" said the Commentator
+VikingStrong Someone bet him a hundred bucks he wouldn't say it. XD
Fiquei emocionado !!!
They are bloody amazing...
Parabéns alan vc e guerreiro um vencedor \o/ Brasiiiil!!!
Alan F. C. OLIVEIRA is now the world-record holder for the T43 100m and 200m. There's absolutely no room anymore for any doubts about his potential. In London 2012 he just began to show how great of an athlete he really is. I guess it's completely fair to say he's a paralympic Usain Bolt.
I have no words these people are great and osm
Proud to be Brazilian, my people are Warrior, "you will see a fiho thine flees not fight" (part of our national anthem)
Interesting how the announcers are subtly trying to suggest that he somehow cheated. A "gear change in a car" lol. We're in a brave new world due to human ingenuity.
Rich L he actually did, his legs were too long
Superb sprint at last from brazilian
that moment when you realize disabled people can run faster than you
Zaw 👎👎👎👎
Zaw 😕😕🙁🙁🙁☹️☹️☹️☹️🥺🥺🥺🥺
That’s not cool
@@Eli-mq2ut piada caralho vsf
Yeah the lactic acid in those blades is horrendous
Thanks. The Brazil loves Moroccan too. We both are a brave people!
Fantastico o Cara Mora aqui na Minha Cidade... Parabens pela medalha...
2:30 Did that commentator just say "out on a limb?"
+Robert Pierce I know right i was like "did he really just say 'out on a limb' while commentating the Paralympics"
@@James-li5mp you serious or you joking?
them didn't even introduce Alan Fonteles on his comments....=]]] loll how sweet that tasted Alan?!
+diegovulliano That fact got my attention too.
Don't understand your comment...
Cold California aren’t you deaf? Pay attention and watch it again Then you will understand
well done lads you did great
RESPECT
I adore Brazil , and wish to visit it in the future
Parabéns Alan wow!
É do Brasilllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!! kkk
the fact that alll these guys are ruuning at that speeds considering their weakness itself gives me goosebumps, let alone someone winning........i can bow my head to these guys on any day!!!!!!!
i dont know if this is fair because i think the two prosthetic limbs gives adventage toward the guys with only one prosthesis
Racism my friend.
Racism
Yes absolutely for the bio mechanic point, there is symetrie.. it is easier to handle out... How can a genuine leg and a smart designed prothesis work together? they have so different mechanical properties, they could possibly impede each other...
Até hoje essa Vitória é de arrepiar
Aqui é Brasil
Alan is the real hero. We can't possibly understand the odds he had to fight against, aside not having both his legs. His parents are not rich and he doesn't have million dollar endorsements. He's a Brazilian kid and being Brazilian and a sportsman is incredibly difficult if you're not a succesful soccer player.
I was a sprinter and when i heard "on your mark" my heart started to pound. Miss running. And i have nothing but respect for these men! :D
me too. tomorrow is the Tokyo games ima watch this event
Even the murderer?
You should be proud of your country forever not just right now
I'm Moroccan and I love Brazil
So funny when the commentators be sad when Pistorious is defeated hahaha
That's a big crowd! Fantastic!
A huevo Brasil! HUMILDAD!
Wonderful
GREAT COMEBACK!!!!!! UNBELIVABLE!!!
What a beautiful race! Those last 50m by Oliveira are impressive.
olivera is the new king now he did this effortly good blades

Caramba. Impressionante. VIVA BRASIL!!!
Oscar has such amazing poise when he runs, so straight and elegant.
Superb
Me encantan sus sonrisas :3

Beautiful sprint by Oliveira in the final meters.
This is better than Olympics

True History!
Wow these gentlemen are running better and faster than most able body people out there unreal!
Viva Brazil. Nice win Allen

Alan Fonteles Orgulho Paraenseeee!!!!!!!!
2:50, the narrator says they are going to see "the greatest ever get the gold". Yes, you did see, and it was Alan! Brasil! Poha!
Bravo uguale oscar
“Who do you think’s going to win this?”
“I’m going to go out on a limb”
