  • This video explains the 8 limbs of ashtanga yoga and four chapters of Yoga Sutras of Patanjali in detail. It looks at why the eight-limbed path of ashtanga yoga is not about asanas alone and looks at the eight limbs i.e Yamas, Niyamas, Asanas, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi. This video goes into detail on the philosophy behind the eightfold path of ashtanga yoga. Also, we look at how ashtanga yoga and yoga sutras of Patanjali can be a perfect path for one's liberation or Moksha. This is an introduction to Yoga Shastras and the path of Ashtanga Yoga. Patanjali explains how this eight-limbed system of yoga excels one's being towards true fulfillment step by step. Yoga Sutras according to Patanjali is just not a philosophy but a way of life or an art of living a successful life. This video sheds light on yoga sutras as well as the eight limbs and meditation aspects of Patanjali's writings. This video also explains how Yoga discipline can be a way to freedom. This video is perfect to get an overall understanding of yoga sutras, and 8 limbs of ashtanga yoga. We also shed some light on different types of prana vayus like Apana Vayu, Udana Vayu, Samana and Vyana. Different types of Pratyahara and Samadhi are explained in detail. It also talks about how Vinyasa is important in yoga asanas as it is literally the flow of yoga asanas. I also discuss brahmacharya which means sexual restraint. This video is all about yoga philosophy and explains the core principles of Karma and clear doubts people have about vinyasa, Hatha and ashtanga yoga as they are not very different from each other.

    This is the most beautiful thing I have heard. How many days/months/years does it take to reach samadhi state if we invest may be 1 hour every day for Asanas, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana?

    • @elementalforms
      @elementalforms  Před 3 lety

      There is no specific time period but we can reach there in 48 days if you really invest one hour and practice other limbs.

      Ayush Bhattarai Is it too much or too less?

    • @ayushbhattarai7418
      @ayushbhattarai7418 Před 3 lety +2

      @@PitlaWorld too less . I had tried vipassana for 13 days. And intact we need to continue this effort for whole lifetime because it was the longest but easiest way to get to samadhi. But for reaching the samadhi state different practices have been done , different spirituality process ,occult process. Its not easy to think to reach to the samadhi state because inorder to reach there you need total control of dhyan , pranayama , dharana, prathyahara which infact for we generations are too hard because we need to deal with our work , our families , our relationships too. To reach samadhi state , you need to break your karmik bondage or keep it minimal which is infact too little chance to get in this lifetime but if we hope we had good karma in our previous accumulations we can get there too. But it's a subtle possibility. I recommend you to increase the time like 3 hours a day .I can't guarantee you will get into samadhi state but I can guarantee you that your life process , your thinking style , your control over your senses will be dramatically improved by 3/4 years. Without thinking to achieve something , gain something think it as your duty and do it without asking questions.
