Can’t believe I looked up beginners guide in 2024 when I started when it first came out lol I’m getting old asf
lol I just jumped into smite today and ive been having fun cause it actually feels good to play and even when you get CC’d it isn’t obnoxious it’s still playable or you understand that you can’t do anything
So used these tips to get familiar with a heroes ability and joined arena normal, got trash talked/insulted on only my third game. New players make sure to have tough skin

Played 6 years of Dota 2 and around 2 years of League of Legends and finally now that I heard Smite 2 is coming out in a few months, I'm going to try out the last of the three big MOBAs.

And unlike with Dota 2 and League of Legends, I'm happy to hear Smite 2 supports consoles as well seeing as I have an Xbox Series X and would love to play on the TV as well with a controller. Never played MOBAs with a controller so I'm sure it'll be a completely new experience (compared to keyboard and mouse). Plus the different camera angle, of course.

I always want to try new games and honestly I've never done any MOBA ones. I'll consider this a good start for me and honestly won't expect a good start but rather improvement from time to time.
i just started playing smite after about 2 years of playing league of legends and i can already see this game very well could be better than league that being said its making the transition to smite easier cuz ive played a moba before but i will say i really didnt know if i wanted to have to commit to learning 130 gods and what they all do on top of the items so the auto purchase items and auto skill up is actually such a fantastic idea cuz i remember in league it would recommend what u should buy but certain components in the item r way more important then others so u would screw urself if u bought the wrong component first nevertheless this game and predecessor r going to be in my daily rotation lol

@@necromancer6405 at the start it's normal to be, especially in such highly competitive "arena" games. I'm watching these guides before even installing the game, it's a matter of mindset.
I'm also pretty strong on Age of Empire 3 - let's say medium ranks, around 1300 elo which on a game like that pretty much means I can kick ⅔ of the whole community' s ass and probably more (that's because the higher the rank, the more players will be under your skill level). But I've been playing since it came out in 2006 and had my ass kicked pretty hard back in the day 🤣 you either endure the grind and git gud, or you change game, that's it
as a new player idk where ive been at! this games so addicting and fun im hooked
you havent played it enough if you like the game. ive played it for about two weeks now and it WAS fun. the most enraging game ever but for some reason my grubby little hands cant stay away tehehe

1:00 as a arena main for two year sometimes there has a lot of toxic peoples and bad player lol ( not arena offense )
I always knew smite was a moba but i didnt know it had a regular 3rd person camera and not the shitty league camera

Just stick to arena and auto build until you feel it out then proceed from there 💪

Smite has had 10 years of feedback and patches the item system is easier to understand and it just flows better as a game… pred can get their one day but it’s too early rn

The only thing that sucks is it’s all about item build. If you don’t have a good one they eat you up and that takes forever to learn
Just use the Auto Build feature until you get the hang of it
Trying SMITE now because Gigantic is unfortunately dead now. This is probably the closet looking thing to that.

@@eazymerked kinda like a mix of smite and alot of other features I do also love how you and another player can kinda make a combo like the gargoyle and electric chair character makes a great combo. It also is really good for people who want to try moba's as it doesn't take like 20 games to understand all mechanics abilities all that as it's simple but yet complex it's a great game to start playing even though the graphics may be tad bit degraded it makes up with the gameplay when deadlock comes out fully released I betcha it's graphics will probably get better but remember it just kinda came outta closed beta

I never played any strategy games on console. I play hustle castle on my phone, is this game similar to it in a way? Also should i buy smite 2? Andddd finally how long will it approximately take me to get the hang of this game if i play around 1 to 2 hours everyday? So many questions sorry
Never heard of hustle castle but that looks more like something called Fallout shelter and smite is nothing like that.
You should only buy smite 2 if you’ve played smite 1 and enjoyed it.
And it won’t take you long to get the hang of it but will take a while to actually get good at it.

My problem with the game is how much you have to remember.. u have to remember matchups hero abilities item builds what to build against certain ppl and what they build its so much

It can be skill based but it’s pretty balanced tbh
question : I like playing ranged gods but I tend to miss auto attacks sometimes, is there way to know my range like button so I can keep distance? couldn't find it
You can mess with the in game settings and turn on the “ruler” in the Ui
Hey, I am a beginner and I got a question. For which lane do I pick what kind of ,,character“? I think Supp role is for Guardian, but which kind of character do I use for carry, mid and jungle? I think solo lane is for warriors but Im not sure. I‘d appreciate ur help :D But still thanks for the video! :D Kind regards from Germany ^^
So yeah basically
Support is guardian but you can get away with warriors sometimes
Mid would be mage or an ability hunter like Manticorus
Carry would be hunters
Jungle would be assassin but you can get away with many different types of gods too
And solo would be warriors but you can get away with other types too
Mostly the build matters the most if you build like a tank you will be tanky if you build damage you will do damage

Thanks for the great video! I just decided to try out Smite because of the Smite 2 announcement. I've played MOBA's like LoL and AoV, but this video really helped understanding the core differnces that make Smite unique.

@@eazymerked When I played the game I had an hardtime understanding the items and how it worked. For each hero you can pick your own items but what to do and what not to pick..

Played 4 years ago for a bit but went back to overwatch .. now I'm co.plwtely done with the trash that overwatch has become and getting ready for smite 2 so grinding out smite 1 until then
