Does it count as Follow Cam Friday if I am not actually following anyone? Well, there is a first time for everything. Where the hell is James?! Desert season is rapidly approaching as snow has moved into the high country in Colorado. I have been seeing some recent content coming out of Hurricane and Virgin and it has reminded me of how much I love this place. King Kong has to be my favorite trail in the area. Sometimes you start when the temperatures are below freezing, all by yourself, just with your trail bike, half lid and autonomous drone. The best days always have a way of sticking in your brain. I will remember this run forever. This was ridden on my Yeti SB150. Next time I am bringing the SB165DH. This one warrants a proper downhill rig and a full face helmet, make no mistake. Rampage 2025? Actually yes and more real to the name than your regular stuff, because normally you're following someone, this time you're being followed.
I have watched this twice now, and I feel compelled to say that this is the best mountain biking video I have ever seen. The impeccably skilled riding on a way beyond technical trail with stupefying exposure is the base, but the combination of drone footage with POV that often shows the same gnarly feature from both perspectives - without losing continuity or the flow of the ride - is genius. In my opinion, the editing is as good as the riding - and that is saying a lot. Both the riding and the vid are amazing. Greatly appreciated.

Pete's bike building skills are impressive, however is drone piloting expertise is on another level! Definitely dig the aerial footage with the POV, keeps the inner "not that scary from the screen" in check. Badass video, well done sir.

I think I’ve seen almost every Kong lap on CZcams and this one looks gnarlier than the rest. I’ve dreamt of riding there for a long time but after this video I know I need to spend a lot more time on bike skills first 😂
