    • @DaDrankKang
      @DaDrankKang  Před 4 lety +4

      You will love the video coming if you like this one. 👍 stand alone mode is only for what's in the machine not the software. So the EQ you saw here won't work. Only the EQs in the machine will work which are not linear like this one. Linear means the graph type EQs. I don't use stand alone mode with the MPC x. didn't pay this much money to use stand alone. I have other older MPCs for that. I paid to use the software. 👍

    Off subject Question! The metronome in mpc essentials isant hitting on measure. It was but now it is not. It's only doing this in this one project not in any other project. Ive never experienced a metronome off beat before. Do you have any advice for this strange issue? PS I record at a very low latency always have (16 Samples "0.4ms") So I know it is not latency.

    • @DaDrankKang
      @DaDrankKang  Před 4 lety +1

      On the mpc x there is a knob that off sets the entire beat. I used to accidentally nudge it when I work fast. I don't know where is on your particular unit as I don't have essentials. I'll do some research and try and find it.

    After you finish the project with the static mix and the sub mixes in the MPC how do you export the stems to the daw? "dry" or with all the processing you have already done and just continue on the daw from where you stopped?

    • @DaDrankKang

    • @DaDrankKang
      @DaDrankKang  Před 4 lety

      If you don't know the key of your song then you can always use your ear to match the sound. But you should always know the key of any project you are working on.

    • @alchemistrpm82
      @alchemistrpm82 Před 4 lety

      I think you mean you don't know the key of the 808, right? You may have heard this before, but the best and easiest way is the old-fashioned way. Compare the 808 to a keygroup like a piano. Pitch the 808 up an octave or 2 to make the pitch easier to hear. (12 semitones is 1 octave).

    • @alchemistrpm82
      @alchemistrpm82 Před 4 lety

      Or just use a different 808 that's labeled. You can find free samples tons of places online if money is an obstacle.

    • @DaDrankKang
      @DaDrankKang  Před 4 lety +1

      It's a "soft clipper" plugin. Soft clipper plugins are used to keep your track from crossing a certain volume level or "clipping" without turning down the sound. It will also add a punch to your sound without turning the volume up. It's like a limiter without making the track louder. 👍🏾

      I think the idea is to do both. Get the sound where you want then when things start piling up in the mix and blending together start dialing everything in. Thats how I learned it too. Everything has to have its space in the mix. Quality makes quality and garbage in garbage out etc...
