Visit to Little Cumbrae island

A visit to Little Cumbrae island, known locally as Wee Cumbrae, in the Firth of Clyde off the Ayrshire coast. Mainly drone footage with a few seconds of phone video at the beginning and end. There is no regular ferry service to the island which is owned by a charitable trust and is mostly uninhabited although there was a caretaking couple on the island the day I was there. I travelled over on 14th August on the 13:00 sailing from Fairlie Quay Marina with ClydeCharters.co.uk which runs trips on some days during the summer months giving visitors 3 hours on the island. What a truly amazing trip that was, a trip what brought back some wonderful memories off when I was younger.
Fishing in and around the reefs of Wee Cumbrae and wishing if only I could step ashore. ❤️

Interesting view of the island which I've only seen from Waverleys decks. I wonder what condition the big house and others are in. Seems an ideal away from it all place if the houses were upgraded.

I understand that two people have lived there last couple of years taking care of the place and the main house has had maintenance work and you can now stay there. Also, last year I seen them advertising camping spaces in the grounds beside the house. I think they have also cut back some of the paths on the island since I was there.
