Yeah the billet basket is a must, specially if your are dedicating it to track or stunt bike. Slipper clutch is the way to go!

Maybe the bike was not used for a long period allowing dirt to deposit on the steel rings at the low part of them and when eventually the bike was used again the traces of that grime are what you are observing on them.... (?) Just my two cents ...! 🇵🇷

I agree. The problem is that I bought the replacement clutch last year and since I was going off road with this bike I decided to wait until it was really done. I am pretty sure I am almost there 😜

    Awesome video.
I have a 2014 fz09 and the clutch makes the same noise.recently, the engine started making this noise.the only way i can describe it is that it sounds wet lol..not sure you can make anything out of that but im a little concerned.
Let me know what your thoughts are.

Hi Olivia, the clutch on the FZ09 is noisy. Does the sound goes away when you pull in the lever? If indeed goes away most likely is normal.
I don't want to get super technical here but if the sounds doesn't go away my second question would be have you installed a "Manual Cam Tensioner"? This is the other thing that makes a similar sound on the same side of the engine but this sound is caused by the cam chain slapping around because the tensioner from Yamaha is not the best.
The solution for this is to install a manual cam chain tensioner. I will stop here because I don't want to go super deep until you try pulling the lever to see if the sounds goes away.
      Also how many miles?

      @@ToModorNottoMod thanks for replying.
The clutch noise does go away but the noise I'm talking about I'm sure is something else.it could be the other thing you mentioned, the tensioner.14 thousand miles

I heard my cam chain on my first FZ when it had around 6k miles. Is not hard to change if you are mechanically inclined. Check the APE brand. Let me know if you have questions.

@@ToModorNottoMod Hey Also an owner of a '14 FZ09 keep in mind that THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE CAM CHAIN TENSIONER. i GOT IT cover by local dealer. I advice you to go online and get ALL the recalls up to date and see if your motorcycle qualify and get all recalls. Good luck
hey looking forward to all the MODS!!!
