bro showed everything but how to do the hardest part SMFH. How do you get the clutch to stop spinning? You put some tool in it and it worked? How
thnx, great video. will be doing this on a 696 as well. 1] 19:20 what tool is that for the tension? 2] 21:25 what is the tool for the torque? the one with the blue light
If you get a good ceramic coating like Adams graphing and put it on the plastic it will make it look new. I did it to my VFR and it still looks new a month later and I have not reapplied anything.
Hi thanks for your excellent demonstration. Do you find you can downshift as well? I have had mine for about 4 months and haven't yet been able to downshift... Do tou blip the throttle..is your bike ride by wire? Mine is cable.. perhaps im just not being daring enough or perhaps i have to be accelerating when downshifting
Nice vid !! Do you have the ref of the painting your are using ? Having trouble to find a good glossy/black mat like this. Scared to buy the wrong one... Thanks in advance !
Thank you. I used Rust Oleoum 2X Flat Black The number is 327866 Flat Black. Let me know if you have any other questions.
why you mount sensor on arm and not on rod? any difference in operation?
Hey Folerx, It is one of the recommendations and it worked well for me. I once tried the rod and other positions with no negative impact. It all comes down to best way/position where the sensor gets the signal you are inputting with your feet.
Do you plan on doing the desmo service yourself? If so can you post the full process?
are you still using sensitivity 60 and kill time 55 ? Vcyclenut suggested sensitivity 70 and kill time 55 ? What do you recommend ? I’m installing mines tomorrow and had anittori on my previous bike which was a 2012 zx6r and the factory 65-55 setup was perfect but I have no clue how my 2015 fz-09 will work with that setting?
I got a woolich map then a katana throttle tube on my 18 bike it’s so perfect now so smooth
This swing arm makes it a lot easier to take the tire off ! Good video again ! 🇵🇷
Bro this looks siiiick
if you use clutch, qs again kill engine?
No, you can choose to ride your bike using the clutch as usual. The key is that the clutch less shifting is driven by the sensor on your shifter so if you use your clutch the bike that will not interfere with the quick shifter nor will interfere with the normal operation of the bike.
@@ToModorNottoMod bypass mode in app?
@folerx They come with a jumper to disable the Quickshifter and use it like you would normally. I don’t remember if you can disable it from the App.
@@ToModorNottoMod app have bypass button
You kann easy put the Grips on with Breakcleaner.
You also could take off 3cm from the seat. I am 184cm and I love it. You sit much more in the bike and the seat also feels more comfortable. I have done this at all Street bikes I have owned. Actually on my "new" 2004 VFR800
Genial!
At @3:15, how do you remove that part that holds the air filter that allows you access to the injector wires where you connect the quick shifter? I was considering doing this mod to my 696 but when I have the bike apart and the tank off, I don’t know how to remove that section. the 2009 696 is my first bike and I want to put in the quick shifter myself. Also, what shift rod length did you select on the Annitory website?? I have the stock shift lever and rear sets. Love all of the 696 content, it’s very very helpful and appreciated!! Keep it up!!
Thank youuuuuu🤣i bought the lights yesterday and i was scared ill shock myself so i gave up but i found your video, bro i have the same lights thank god
Sweet!
Great video and insight about the challenges of using the Harbor Freight changer. I already have the harbor freight tire changer but I'm thinking about getting just the No Mar bar to replace usimg spoons on the Harbor Freight tire changer. Do you see any issues using the No Mar bar on the HF changer?
Thank you. I never tried to use the No Mar tools on the HF changer. The No Mar tool is great, make sure to get it fixed to the floor. Even without being in a fixed position was easier than most. I am working on installing mine on concrete to replace tires this week. The No Mar is expensive but you can pay it off with a few changes.
Not gonna grease the pins before installation? Nah, whack em in dry 🙄 Also as he didnt mention it and i now wouldnt trust a word he says. Grease the damn pins and O/X rings before installing and if its a clip style make damn sure the opening of the clip is facing away ftom rotation!
Geez brother! Don’t forget to breathe! Good point. I always do but I have also installed them with the lubrication the chains come with. I know i know you don’t have to say it, that is for preventing rust…but I have installed pins with only that and have been able to get 20k plus out of a cheap chain! Have a good day bro! I will use the grease next time.
very very good Thank you so much
I wish they had one of these for my older, lowered R6.
They must have it, no?
has this ever leaked or got to hot and got soft on you? I just got it for my rear and front reservoir but im worried after reading so much on this tygon hose on the forums .
Just found this channel. Way to keep your head up, stay positive, and remember there's something bigger than us out there. I trust things have turned around for you.
Great video as ever, super helpful
Really good video, giving me the confidence give it a go.
Why are you using clutch to go downshifting.
I only had upshifts sensor not a blipping action. Only one direction.
Awesome. 🔥
The work you did is magnificent, very professional. I congratulate you and I hope you continue uploading some videos on how to do this type of work. I send you greetings from Chile.
Use compressed air to put or remove the handle grips
Great video, thanks for sharing 😊, I would have changed the tensioners though, Best to be safe than sorry. I know they would most likely be ok but i just couldn't take the risk. 😊
Oh man, that rim damage :-D Oh man...
what size tire did you do - my cruiser has 15 and 16 in wheels... and apparently it doesn't do 15's? due to the top ring??? any way you figure to work around that?
I rode one today off my Beta 300.Is that a moped motor. We just told the owner we can't wait for you more. That thing is unreal underpowered.I could smoke it on a old yz80 without e start.
Hahahahaha 🥴😂😂. Not laughing at you, you literally made me laugh. My experience riding many dirt bikes is minimal so for my purpose this bike works. But I can see how a avid rider might shy away from it. Maybe you need the 250 K4 and not this one. Have a good day!!
Is the kayo 250 underpowered? Best regards
@oscarschiff9180 From my perspective I think it’s decent for a 230 motor. I don’t share the same opinion as other people of being extremely underpowered. I guess it also depends on your riding experience etcétera.
@@ToModorNottoMod Not bad bikes but I raced over 20 years and run with a fast crowd. The bikes are definity more affordable for the casual trail rider. My wife has a klx 140r that's actually a hoot to goof around on.
@@ToModorNottoMod would you reccomend it regarding build quality and parts availability? Thank you
WOW ! It really looks different, elegant specially the black parts you recently painted ! Really beautiful ! It must feel great like a new bike with a smooth expensive suspension ! 👍🏻 🇵🇷
You are saving some serious money doing it yourself, bro’ ! A lot of dismantling and connections to go through plus testing and adjusting the system ! 🇵🇷
Very inspiring. Good work, looks beautiful!
Expensive
You would be surprised! You have to wait it out. I waited and waited until the right parts at the right price popped on ebay. It took some patience and I am not patient believe me! Have a good day brother!
Hi Richard....you seem a lot happier than before...I hope you work is better for you now 🙏
Thats an oil pressure switch not a crank sensor, crank sensor is on the left side of the engine
I have the same bike which only just got and never seen another one with the white panels. Unsure why they are white not red like many others
I painted my bike multiple times. Then little by little brought it back to OEM colors.
Is it an up and down quick shifter or just up?
Up and down!! Have a good day!!!
It seems you have tried at least three QS from different manufactures, Healtech, Dynojet for GSXS1000 and Annitori for FZ09&Monster, could you make some brief comparison of them (I assume the Annitori might be your favorite as you put it on two different bikes)
Great idea and yes sir you are correct. I will consider making this video!
when do we need to replace the tensioners? cause in the ducati service center when you get the belt replaced they also replace the tensioners.
I don’t think it’s a bad idea because you are already there. Looking at the book Ducati refers to them as timing pulleys or spur gears. I do not see any specifications. I don’t think it is required on every timing belt change but I would check them to see if the have any friction to it and if not try to change them the next time.
I wouldn't take any chances, I would replace the tensioners... Every car i have had you change the tensioner roller, why wouldn't you on your Ducati?, it would be very costly otherwise. is it worth the risk?.
You can do it of course. I don’t think you need to it every 7k miles but if you can afford it by any means is probably the best.
Lol I did this with the sticks 💀 it took my dad and me at least 4 hours to get it done... I'm def buying this product
have any carbuerator problems? the air screw is behind the frame it makes for a very difficult adjusting did you replace the carb at all
No issues, but in Arizona you either ride when is cold or when is hot and I have to adjust the carb almost every time….and yes geez I always have a 8mm open wrench with me. I just deal with the arthritis hahahaha geez it is uncomfortable
My kayo 140 is a beast
I had my kayo 140 for 2 year now only thing i had to do is change tires and tube
Hi! On how many km this should be done?
I temember that back in the day I when I got my first Ducati the replacement was at 7500 miles. But I am now looking at the Manual and it says. - Check Tension every 12 months or 7500 miles or 12 kms - Renew Timing Belts - Every 2 years or 15k miles or 24 kms. Hope that helps!
Do you know how the length of the secondaries compares to the m4 header?... Also, is the width/diameter of the primaries and secondaries larger than the stock diameters??
Hi firstly a great video and I know I'm 3 years late. I would have thought seeing you got the old cover off, I would have replaced the old foam on the seat as well. Just an idea. good video.
in case of rain, would the honda cap be tight enough for water not getting in ?
Hey 👋! Water entering the brake line wasn’t a concern but great question! The Honda cap fits pretty tight.
Hey, question. Do I have to change the tension rollers with the belts or just belts. If yes, why? Thank you
It depends. Since the intervals on these bikes is short. Yo are okay reusing the rollers. At the very least try to move them by hand to see if they roll without too much resistance. If they are dragging or requieres too much force to move them change them. I am giving you this answer without knowing the biles of your bike, but normally you don’t have to change the rollers with every belt replacement. Be safe!!
