For me, I always start with pads, piano or acoustic guitar then I change the sounds once I like the melodies. I used to waste 1-2 hours just looking for perfect sound before even getting a melody and chord progression going.

Why can't i find a explanation to mixing sfx... You should do one video on it, that's a good future video, and I like how you explain stuff...
For example you explain how you would recognize "this saxophone song was edited using a EGuitar distortion effect"... Or "this saxophone is street playing using an instant mixer for simple reverb" idk, I just find that maybe i could edit audio, but I don't understand what the effects are... Keep on, i like your format.
