It’s exciting, I am so happy we get to see more of the past jedi, old Republic and high Republic and then we got dawn of the jedi, star wars fans are eating good

Question: You've mentioned a few times that Master Indara is killed, but how do we know that? We see her fighting in the trailers, but how do we know that she dies?
I haven't seen the teaser discussed here, but everything I've seen so far looks great. I've loved all the High Republic books and comics so far, so I'm looking forward to this (even though it's about 100 years after what we're currently reading).
The scene of the witch coven at 6:50 reminds me of the cover of Blue Oyster Cult's Fire of Unknown Origin album, so that's two things I love right there (Star Wars and Blue Oyster Cult).

I’m just really happy to see another character using a purple lightsaber onscreen at last. The effects of the lightwip I think look good.
Lucas said in an interview many years ago that Wookiees rarely become Jedi because they are a little TOO in touch with the Living Force. They embrace their animal nature, they give in to their passions, they live in trees, etc. It stands to reason, however, that if there are millions (or billions?) of Wookiees, that occasionally there would be one who is serene enough to hear the Cosmic Force.
I think what you mean to say is eventually there must be some wookies who are ‘disciplined’ and serene enough to become a Jedi, if the majority cannot give up their passion and connection to the living force.

Whenever I hear about lightwhips I immediately think of Lumiya... She used one in the old 70's/80's Marvel comics against Luke... I keep hoping they'll eventually bring her character to life. The Dark Lady of the Sith seems like a logical addition for Disney.
She gave grandmaster Luke PROBLEMS ! She was a menace and a really cool character. She literally made Luke take up a red shoto saber just to beat her. She was also pivotal in the story of Darth Caedus (the OG Kylo Ren for everybody who doesn’t know)
Completely agree with you mate, they should bring Lumiya in. I think Mara Jade would be a great addition as well.
@@KrDrummer15 Right on! I would love to see Mara Jade. I think it's a real possibility that we'll see her. They'd have to rewrite a lot of arcs to make either of them fit in at this point. As much as part of me hates the idea of relationships in Star wars, it would make a decent love triangle since Luke was involved with both, obviously Lumiya as Shira Brie.

While I admit, I haven’t been the hugest Disney StarWars fan, I know they’re capable of making great StarWars. Look at Rogue One, Andor, the first two seasons of Mandalorian, and the final season of Clone Wars, and Rebels. All amazing products that are made by Disney. So I say we give it a chance because it could end up being just as good as these other products. Could it turn out being a let down like the Book of Boba or Obi-Wan or the sequel trilogy? Yes, it has the potential to not be great, BUT we won’t know until we watch it in it’s entirety.

Where is the new teaser in full?
I like the idea of the light whip and thought it was awesome when Lumiya used hers against Luke, but i think the effects for the one in the preview looked horrible. It reminded me of the drooping Schwartz from Spaceballs more than it did a light whip at least at the beginning, maybe its just the angle at first as it does appear narrower and more whiplike at the end of the shot.

Well either the people writing this have no fucking clue how physics work or somehow the precoucers from halo have showed up and managed to rewrite the starwars laws of physics for shits and giggles.

@@surebuddysure6070 ah yes because kyber crystals can now fucking bend, capital ships sinking makes sense on planets with a gravitational pull, in space it just looks fucking awesome plus water is a lot like space so if ships can sink in water then can definitely sink in space just because of its own weight plus there must be air coming from somewhere for everyone to be able to breath on the ships and artificial gravity so it does make sense, bending light sabers on the other hand makes as much sense as liea putting her hand out and flying through space, if that where the case then a jedi being blasted out of space would have no consequences because they can glide back to safety.

It's a fairly common movie/TV show technique to cast a familiar actor in a role with (relatively) limited screentime who dies tragically. It helps to make more of an impact on the audience because they already feel connected to the actor. Arguably, Alex Guinness and Liam Neeson (in Star Wars) are examples of this as well.

A light whip isn’t new. It’s from Legends; first with Lumiya from the Imperial era through the Post-Empire era (Comics and books) and with Githany from the Old Republic era (Darth Bane Path of Destruction)
