Took the day off to do some jigging for Lake Trout, little did we know that the smallmouth would be busting on smelt on the surface in the same spot. We bounced from hump to hump and marked Lakers at pretty much every spot in about 50 to 60 feet of water. Thanks to @AddictedFishing we were able to save this trophy fish!

Great job! I’m having no luck on my lake. It’s supposedly a natural trout lake. It’s called Chandos lake in coe hill Ontario. Any chance you can look up the lake and lmk where to look? The thermocline here is 50 degrees at 30’ . We’re getting skunked and so frustrating!

@@BendItFishing lots of deep rock ledges 140’ max depth some weed beds not many humps….. we’ve caught a few small ones trolling but we’re getting frustrated.,,,,,

A 30 incher has to be in there! Just gotta fish bigger baits!

I agree! But gotta leave some good breeders to keep the population healthy. There is no size or limit restrictions in NH for cusk.
I caught a 3 pound smallie yesterday, I'm trying to go for salmon and trout, as well as maybe pike, can you give me some pointers on what to fish with?
What we did in this video is match the bait that's in the lake profile wise. Pin smelt and Rainbow smelt. What lake are you fishing?
