So happy to hear this system again and some news ; I am now the proud owner of my first ever 10” Durabel (24 volt version) which I picked up at an antique store in Ladysmith last weekend. So happy to finally have a major piece of my childhood. Been a long time coming.
yesterday at school 10 minutes before the end of the day we have a Fire Dill and we where outside for 20 minutes over dismissal. But it was fun because the bell in the classroom was super loud. Mb10-24s and 439Ds just hit different
Wasn't it at this school before also when the monitoring company rolled the trucks on you despite it being out of service? Does that make this twice now?
This is how schools in Wisconsin look too, I don't think it's necessarily the country that really affects that. What about it is nice compared to where you live?
@@nics-systems-electricoh but prob need one by the ann/entrance because the horn strobe closest to the entrance one is the corridor probably wont reach out to that area
Nic didnt that EST quickstart QRS panel before in an older video. And Its time for that panel to go honestly, Edwards EST stopped it a Long time ago and Its just giving u guys issues
Edit: commented on the wrong video. Sad that the bells are probably gonna have to be swapped to horn strobes in order to take care of the coveage problems. I wonder why mixed signals (provided the strobes *do* sync) are against code? Sounds like a waste of time and money to replace everything, plus bells are a little more pleasant to listen to. I imagine running a bell circut to those rooms isn't worth it (if even possible)? They sound nice, but gotta prioritize function over form in life safety systems.
What coverage problem? You can't have mixed signals as that can be confusing during an evacuation or fire alarm as to what it means if you have a bunch of random devices making noise.
@@nics-systems-electric Stupid mistake on my part, I switch CZcams accounts to comment and I accidentally clicked the wrong video! This was meant to refer to the Notifier 640 with the Wheelock bells. As far as mixed signals go, I half disagree on the confusion part. People might think the bells and piezo horns are for different things, but as long as they're clearly marked it shouldn't be a problem (IMO). That being said, I'm no expert here and I have no field experience so I'll trust you on that one. I suppose the way things "should be" isn't always the way things really work!
I appreciate that you blur the school keys. Not many understand how big an issue it is seeing keys in 4k etc.
I always frown on people asking to take photos of keys for that reason...
@@Trenten.Fieldstadexactly if you are going to take a photo of the key always cover the bitting so it can't be copied
Ahhh so thats why its blurred out

well that was a fail ending with the fire department showing up
I love the sound of the bells they reminded me of jingle bells for some reason

Did the fire trucks seriously get dispatched to that school again?
Wouldn’t surprise me with all the times their monitoring company has messed up
Yes a new video I love this channel
Nice! 2 uploads in the same minute. Keep up the grind! :)
I like this channel your the best I watch you evrey day
This system looks pretty cool, definitely quieter than the ear piercing alarms we have at my school lmao
My school has those bells on continuous.

Some bells sound deeper or lighter than others? Is that mixed signals? Not that it matters I'm just curious. Also love that unsynchrization
No it's fine they're all bells they all sound alike
Was this recorded before you guys replaced this system? Love the vids Nic keep up the good work man.
We haven't replaced this system
@@nics-systems-electric oh must be mistaken with the newer videos that you replaced a system
That kid at 2:05 "Oh it's not a drill?" XD

Every time a school has a drill do people like you have to come do it
Most of them some of them do it themselves
I had not expiriened a drill at my school but it's planned
I thought this middle school had its system replaced
It will be replaced
If it’s summer break there, can you make another fire drill video with the lights off?

@@SomeGuyWithInternet there is no way to describe on a building evacuation plan what is used for a fire signal if you have mixed signals
