People tend to forget the beautiful dimes that Romo was able to throw.
There's no doubt about Terrell Owens being a great WR. That dude was a beast. But lest be realistic about this. Tony Romo was able to make any wide receiver look good.
Laurent Robinson's best season was when he played for the Cowboys in 2011.
He made Miles Austin look great.
He made Dez Bryant look great.
He made Patrick Crayton look like a decent WR.
He literally made Jason Witten a shoe in for the Hall of Fame.
He even made the RBs look awesome. Look at DeMarco Murray for example. The defense had to respect the passing game because they knew that was a legitimate threat with Romo at the helm. So that forced defenders off the line of scrimmage which allowed him to have a 1,845 yard season and the rushing title.
Sadly though, due to his lack of playoff success, Romo may never be considered for the Hall Of Fame.
    Very underrated.

For sure, after T.O. hand surgery in 06 he had a dropping issue but statistically you could not tell because of Romos placement. After making Romo highlights looking at the games, if T.O. had his pre surgery catching ability he would have had a 1500+ yard season with 20 tds in 07 at the very least instead of 1355 and 15 tds. Because he dropped easy tds and potential tds on deep balls where he was open that season. And could have had more if T.O. and Romo played the final game. I think Romo played quarter or 2 maybe but T.O. didn't play that game. They had a pretty crazy statistical season for 2007 with a bad oline, an nfc east where redskins, eagles and giants all had top 10 defenses and no one had a losing record. Plus going against patriots top 5 defense and packers.

Sometimes these kind of things happen in the NFL. You'll get someone that gets the "short stick". In case of Tony Romo, he had to do most of the work and to take a high pressure situation like that and make it the best you can when you had very little support, well, it's just magical. That's why when I saw Brady make that comeback in the Super Bowl I thought the same thing. He carried his team on his back, but in Brady's case, he had better personnel as well as a better coach, so it made that comeback all that much easier. Sometimes you get Kings in Poker and sometimes you get a lousy two. Romo got the two, but he played his hand the best he could with what he had.

What a fun time and talented to watch back then. Romo was fun to watch also. I know what the critics would say, but Romo overachieved coming out of NOWHERE. Parcels saw what everyone else didn’t. Looking at this reminds me of the days when the cowboys scored points and were actually AHEAD IN A GAME - COMFORTABLY. The league and the cowboys were so much fun with T.O. He should have been a FIRST BALLOT Hall of Famer. Dak is a great guy and I like him, but even with all of Romo’s mistakes - he made many, I still always “believed” he could pull it off, he just had that energy. Dak has many comebacks to his young name, but I don’t know why I just don’t feel the same way...

Those mid to late 2000's Cowboys teams were some of the best I've ever seen at scoring on big plays from inside the 40 and the 20. It was a great offensive philosophy of wanting to score before reaching the red zone, before the field "shrinks".

Owens never lost his athleticism, it was his hands that got worse. Which is weird because usually you lose your athleticism, but keep your hands when you get older. After that hand surgery on 06, Owens had a dropping problem that lasted for the rest of owens career and it kept getting worse.

Cooper doesn't drop wide open deep passes to endzone that hits right into the hands constantly, nor get lost in sight where the ball is. I loved T.O. but the guy dropped alot is tds and deep big plays after that hand surgery, but also made alot of deep plays and big plays.
Granted T.O. had a great gunslinger, Cooper had a elementary type passer who couldn't hit Cooper in stride, so it's not easy to compare.

Adam Cartwright why does a qb need team stats to go in the hof. Shouldn't they be judged on their talents and not the teams talent. Because Romo blows aikment and staubach out of the water in stats but since they had better teams they went to super bowls. Romos stats say hof but his team was always lacking a defense and good coach. And he got screwed in the playoffs by the ref
