I love watching you bake cookies outside. I've only baked them inside but cookies have always been my specialty. The outside having a crunch with a soft inside is a must...on a Gingersnap & Snickerdoodle are two of the best! Love your shirt!

These biscuits look tasty. You should try the Aussie & Kiwi Anzac Biscuits. It has its roots in WW1 and WW2. Made with oats; butter; golden syrup; flour; coconut. Wives used baked these tasty biscuits and send them to the troops on the front line. Because Australia and New Zealand were so far away Alot of the food sent to the war was spoiled before it got to the troops. So wives; families made this biscuits which were called Anzac biscuits
We also sold them in our countries to fund raising even to current days to provide support to military families. They are very tasty biscuit. Anzac stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

This just goes to show you really can cook anything in a Dutch oven if you know what you're doing. I am pretty good at making cookies but I think I need to go to one of your cooking lessons before I try this in a Dutch oven.
I’ve always wondered if you could make an ice cream pie in one. Instead of coals, use dry ice and a wet burlap bag on top of your oven. You can fix the single crust pie shell in another Dutch oven. When baked, fill the pie shell with your softened ice cream filling, plus extra attractions like fruit nuts chocolate etc. put it in a cold oven, put the lid on top of the oven, cover with dry ice and the wet burlap to insulate the ice until the ice cream filling sets up and is ready to serve. I was thinking about doing this back in the 1980, for a Dutchoven cook-off entry. Never was able to try it.
If someone should try doing ice cream pie this way, I would like to know if it worked.

Snickerdoodles have been at or near the top of my list for 65 years! I could almost smell those. Before she went to her Glory, my wife was a cookie-bakin' machine. Snickerdoodle and peanut butter were her best.
