My husband stitches as well, and I called him the renaissance man because he’s a woodworker, he sells diesel parts by day and stitches with me by night! You two are adorable and I’m enjoying your video! I have the same Merlin app because my husband and I sit out on our covered deck and stitch and listen to all the bird sounds 😍

Beautiful stitching both of you! Have considered joining the Tudor Rose Guild multiple times. Love so many of their specials! Sometimes the 11x11 q snap gets too heavy for me, but a frankenstein 8x11 is my favorite. You might try that and see how it works for you! OH....hands up for the unicorn...my 10 year old self would freak out!

Not that I am aware of. My family is long ago from the South, to Oklahoma, to Southern Cali, to Oregon and back to Deep East Texas!. I've never met another Reavis in person.

I love that you changed the border to match the picture. The last video or two, the owl on the wall behind your left shoulder keeps catching my eye. Is that a cross stitch?
The owl is a goodwill find and it's needlework but not cross stitch. I think it's sort of a sampler of embroidery stitches, but I'm not well versed in embroidery so I'm not sure- I just know that it's darned cute!
It's actually spelled Patreon, and if you Google that you'll find the website. Then search for The Artsy Housewife within the Patreon website and you'll find me! There are different subscription options, or "tiers", and those are explained in better detail on the website. I hope that makes sense!

Don't dunk your finished stitch if you used over dyed floss or fabric. Over dyed floss & fabric are not color fast.
