    I set my suspension up on mine and adjusted the chain and was surprised just how little you had to move it to tighten it. Took me twice as long to adjust compared to the 1290 superduke. nice vid 👍👍👍

    Huh, always wondered how this is done on these single sided swingarms.
    Keep these videos coming mate!

    Can you tell me what size the C Spanner is or where you got it?! I never got a tool kit with mine, so I've been hunting all over online and can only find ones listed for bikes as new as 2018.

    Video is great and helpful but you have got to get a Milwaukee electric torque wrench to help you out, brother. Save you time, save your knuckles.
    Keep it up my Triple Brother, 😎🏍🚬.

    Thanks for that, will need to check mine now.. not related to the chain but just wondering if the heated handlebar grips are a standard fitting on UK models?? Here in Oz they aren't. I just added genuine triumph ones to mine. What a pain to route the wiring to the plug point in the main harness. They located it up at the front of the headlights so you have to remove the headlights to get the wires up to it... oh well I taught myself how to do that on the 1200 RS I guess 😅

      Jesus that sounds like a pain, thanks for letting me know as Ive got some bars I was changing out to, that I'll have to drill out to get the grip wiring through

    • @derekharper6031
      @derekharper6031 Před 2 lety +1

      @Sergeant Sodom if your just changing the bars you might be ok as your harness won't need unplugging from that end. You will just need to have enough slack in the heated grip harness going to each heated grip so you can slide them off and unplug each at the grip end. Each grip has a short length of cable with a plug that plugs into the heated grip sub harness. Once unplugged pull each sides sub harness back thru the existing hole in the bars. Fit new bars and yep a hole is required that is off centre and closer to throttle side. Then feed sub harness back thru to bar end and replug each side to the grip.

      @@derekharper6031 Thanks for that mate I'll take that into consideration when I give it a go!

  • @scottsspeedtriplechannel

    Just curious, was this your first chain adjustment on this bike? How many miles were on it at the time?

    • @sergeantsodom6969
      @sergeantsodom6969  Před 2 lety +1

      Nah, I adjust it all the time, though slightly neglected the tension since the new tyres were added however this now has 1200 or so mile on it.

    Do you know what diameter the C spanner is as my dealer didn't bother with giving me a toolkit?

    • @sergeantsodom6969
      @sergeantsodom6969  Před 2 lety +1

      I'm not sure to be honest mate 🧐 I'd ask your dealer for one as it should come with every bike

    Odd how the USA manual says 32-42mm and UK says 20-30mm.

      Only thing I can think is you guys use slightly different components or different teeth count on the sprocket (doubt it) or if the wheelbase is slightly different.
      Thinking 'out there' I'm wondering if things like average weight by culture would play into that, but that's just me speculating

    • @seanneilan3919

      I think it depends on the year of manufacture. The current manual shows 32-42mm. With the bike standing upright.
