    What I like the most about these videos is the connection between an uncle and nephew. Ryan you are making your uncle so happy just by spending time together. It really is a wholesome interaction between you two.
    That doesn’t take away from the knowledge and tutorials Jim is sharing with the modeling community. Great content guys keep it up.
    Ryan I think a separate series where you make a layout from scratch would be very cool with the help of Jimmy.

    I watched your videos all afternoon long and enjoyed every minute of it. I can remember when a slot car track existed near by back in the mid 70’s when I was a kid something I haven't seen in years. Have you ever considered a car with a small camera mounted in or on it to capture another prospective of your masterpiece of a track? Another consideration would be to put small cell phone cameras around the track itself, as if you didn’t have enough to do.

    • @jimmyattard1446
      @jimmyattard1446 Před rokem +1

      Well Sam we did just that a while ago and Ryan and Derick added the video from that small camera car to the Lunch King channel. Go check it out. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!

    another great video. I don't have much artistic vision with all this stuff ( I couldn't lay that track out) but it looks great & i love the hands on approach for your materials . so much more hands on than just going out & buying everything . you have many skills .
    I used the same screening technique to screen out stone from a bag of cement to use in patching a stuccoed exterior wall that we had to open up.we glued the stone on with ceramic tile thinset and then thinned some down to brush in to replicate many layers of paint filling voids etc. after it was painted the customer couldn't see the repair

      @jimmyattard1446 Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for commenting John. You gave me an idea here. Maybe a short cut to sifting the fine stuff could be using a cheap cement or mortar mix from the hardware! • @johnmolnar2957
      @johnmolnar2957 Před 2 lety +1

      @@jimmyattard1446 if you went the route of using mortar or cement, maybe a light mist of water over top would be all you need to do to bond it together

    Man, this is really awesome stuff. It’s as awesome as Ryan’s T-shirt! )Love to get my hands on one of those.) Down in Missouri our rocks are completely different. But plentiful and easy to get at any creek. Would make mine more natural using the creek gravel in this area. You’ve now given me ideas how to cover up all the bare foam board I have on my track.😁🏎💨

    Great inspiration and motivation to share my track with others. I would appreciate your advice on "staying in the slot". It seems tires and guides are a big factor. Do you replace all your tires (expensive) or just true and/or treat tires? On guides, do you replace or is there a inexpensive trick for extending the short ones (mostly Scalextric) to help on a woods track? Thanks. Dave in California

    • @jimmyattard1446
      @jimmyattard1446 Před rokem +1

      Those are great points Dave. I do a few tricks to the cars mostly to get them to run dependable. Speed is nice to have but stability makes for more door to door action which I love watching. I will talk to Ryan about doing a video on it. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!

    Going through all that detail, why leave the base on the figures? It looks out of place. Cut those bases off.

    • @jimmyattard1446
      @jimmyattard1446 Před rokem +1

      Right Ellis I fully intended to but for two things...1. Seeing the bases makes me remember my track as a kid. 2. I can move figures around and create even better viniates when ever I need to. 3. The camera magnifies this unrealistic imperfection, but you hardly notice the bases when viewing the track in person.
