      Well thanks KW! Engineers do think alike... I believe they are born not made. There are guys who are wired to understand and appreciate how I think....and those who think I'm wasting time. I know though, that it's not a waste of time because I have fun doing it!

    I watched your videos all afternoon long and enjoyed every minute of it. I can remember when a slot car track existed back in the mid 70’s when I was a kid something I haven seen in years. Have you ever considered a car with a small camera mounted in or on it to capture another prospective of your masterpiece of a track? Another consideration would be to put small cell phone cameras around the track itself, as if you didn’t have enough to do.

      Ant1 , The canopies over the team's prepping cars came from a fellow in Germany or Austria that had seen my web site. He had printed, on 8.5X11 card stock, 5 different ones spread out in blank. They could be cut out and folded into very realistic canopies. However they were all in 1/24 scale. I had them for 15 years before I made copies of them on my own cardstock reduced to the correct size. The support poles, cross braces and lighting I scratch built. Thanks for noticing them. @jimmyattard1446 Před 2 lety +3

      Steve you are not going to believe this ...but in an effort to have very few figures alike, I not only decapitate half of them and swap heads but I have cut torsos at the beltline to revise the posture of some of the figures' bodies. Crazy I know. But, thanks for noticing. Please pass our LK videos to friends who may enjoy them and subscribe. Thanks for your comment my friend!

      @@jimmyattard1446 But where do you buy the figures?

    • @jimmyattard1446
      @jimmyattard1446 Před rokem +2

      I had a dozen Monogram figures from when I was a kid that I made molds of and cast more in resin. Also I found at dollar stores "construction" figures that with a lot of carving were made into men I could use on the track. Oh, about ten years ago MRRC reproduced the Monogram figures for a short while. I bought about 40 figures from MRRC which were hard to find. Also WW2 war figures in 1/37th scale can be used. Tank and truck crews are what I bought some of. Some of the seated figures are O scale train people designed to be waiting at the station. Hope this helps Steve.

      John ....I'm so thrilled that you noticed that! The green guy looking up was looking up at a crane. He was included in my Renwal truck kit that I got for my 12th birthday. I'm 69 now so that shows how long I've had him! I actual decapitate most of my figures and try to turn their heads looking in different directions. The figure looking down was meant, by Monogram, to be lifting a tire onto a car in the pits. With a bit of heat and cuts in his torso I got him to seem like he is looking down. Thanks my friend...your noticing it made all the work worth it. Go back and forward our videos to more of your friends because the guys plan to do more in the future.

      @jimmyattard1446 Před 2 lety +1

      Well Cl1ck3r, All my signs were done by a good friend who was a graphic artist in Juliet, Illinois. I spent a weekend with him 22 years ago finding appropriate sponsor logos on the inyernet and reducing them all down to 3 sizes in 1/32 scale. We worked over 25 hours on them. It took over 3 years to find a printer who could read the program my friend used and print them as clear as I wanted them to be. It was all worth it in the end.
