    Absolutely the greatest front man in the history of rock. Nobody did it better than Freddie Mercury. They are all total LEGENDS. 🖤🎶🖤

    Try White Queen at Hammersmith Odeon ‘76 and You Take My Breath Away at Hyde Park. There are many more incredible Queen songs. Keep going.

    This is probably my favorite Queen song. Sometimes it's Bohemian Rhapsody but it's usually this.

    Killer Queen was one song which was really out of the format that I usually write in, said Freddie in a 1974 interview. „Usually the music comes first, but the words came to me, and the sophisticated style that I wanted to put across in the song came first. No, I’d never really met a woman like that. A lot of my songs are fantasy.” I wrote it in one night. „I scribbled down the words in the dark one Saturday night and the next morning I got them all together and I worked all day Sunday and that was it.”

    This is such a wonderful song, lyrically it is awesome and musically it is perfection. It is also very sophisticated and so very Freddie. Thank you for your reaction and welcome back.

    The guitarist, Brian May, is a Doctor of Cosmology. He became a star, now he studies them! He also holds a knighthood.

    “It’s about a high class call girl. I’m trying to say that classy people can be whores as well. That’s what the song is about, though I’d prefer people to put their interpretation upon it.. to read into it what they like.” - Freddie Mercury 👠👠💄💋

    Hi mate. Great reaction. I do love a bit of Queen. I'm still keeping an eye on you hoping you'll react to more Ren. As you're a rap fan you should listen to Ren - The Hunger. He does a bit of rap rapping on there. X

    Fun fact about this song - it's lip synced. At the time, Tops of the Pops was THE show to be on (think American Bandstand).When they got the invitation to be on there, they were still young and dumb, and didn't ask many questions. When they actually arrived at the studio and found out that was required, Freddie was livid and said he'd never do it again. If you watch carefully you'll see little hints from him that he wasn't really singing. I think he did it on purpose.

      Indeed, yes. Another clue is if you look very carefully you will see that Brian's guitar isn't plugged in (same with John's obviously, but you don't see so much of him). It was always fun to watch "Top Of The Pops" to see how obviously the groups weren't playing their instruments. No wonder it drove a perfectionist like Freddie wild!

      @trishc3099 Před 10 měsíci

      @TenCapQuesada No! I've never seen that!! I've always just watched the guys themselves, not the equipment. Now I have to watch it again! But looking at my comment now, I should have said that this performance of the song was lip synced, not the recording.

      from interviews Ithink Roger was more annoyed about it, his drums couldn't make sound
      no they didn't like to have to lip sync
      they're first performances on TOTPs was earlier that year with seven seas of Rhye, not sure how they got involved but it was only because David Bowie couldn't do it, something about the recording, so they stepped in, only people who have songs in the charts are invited on but there's wasn't! it soon was with the positive feedback and became their first single to chart, uk no 10
      later in the year they released this, killer Queen which became their first hit, uk no 2. they did 3 performances of each song on the show
      no not an enjoyable gig for them but it did get their name out there
      they didn't have to turn up for Bo Rap just hand in the video! just as well it was no 1 for 9wks!
