    The 1st song of theirs that I heard was The Shape of Water and I was hooked! Don't know how much violin is in it exactly, but it's a banger for sure!

    They use the violin for electronic sounds on songs like this. It doesn’t always sound like violin but you can hear it you just don’t know it. If that makes sense.

    I mean as far as violin + techno goes there's a precedent. Lindsey Stirling has been doing violin dubstep for over a decade (and certain "judges" ridiculed that) . But this is more of an early metalcore sound. It's pretty good. But yes, if you have the option to go more metal and more violin you should. It worked great for Imminence. It will make you stand out, even more so because of that strong house beat. There are other bands out there making a lot of mixing electronics and metal pretty much 50/50; it's different, it works. Differentiate yourselves even more with violin and it will work better and you'll stand out even more. But in general I like it. Great reaction!
