I miscounted, I have been using it every other week. So it wasn't 7-8 times as stated in the video, more like 4-5 times.
I have had this machine for 2 years now. I use it every other week and it has saved me a small fortune. Good video thanks
Great to hear!
If you are worried about expensive blades for shaving, I highly recommend getting into wet shaving (with a safety razor). It'll give you a really close and smooth shave and the blades are incredibly cheap.
I tried it once (that is after some 30 years, when I first started shaving) when a friend had recommended this to me and told me about the whole culture (or fad) of shaving with a razor, but my skin was so irritated (and stayed irritated for hours) after the procedure that I decided to never do it again. The different cartridges offered by either Gillette or Wilkinson Sword never cause any irritation so I'm going to stay with them.
Thanks for all the information. Your the best!
Thank you my friend. You did an outstanding job!👍
Thanks for the useful info. I just bought one, and am about to try it.
Your Follow up Video with tips was Very Helpfull. I think this " Social Distancing " and Staying at home has it's POSITIVE SIDES. With all the Barber Shops closed up at this time. I have been COMPELLED to LEARN a NEW SKILL, Cutting my own hair. Not only is this a USEFULL SKILL I am saving MONEY by doing this task myself. I should have been doing this a long time ago. I am using also the Remington HC4250 like yourself. Again, Thanks for making these Videos!
Glad it was helpful!

Good information! I just ordered one based on your reviews. Looking forward to using it now.
Hope you enjoy it!
Nice one. If the weather permits, I thoroughly recommend using outdoors with a mirror on a wall, fence etc. it saves all that cleaning up in the bathroom.
yes, i agree!
Indeed
Thanks to your videos, I also mustered up the courage and bought this. I've had it for 15 days and just cut my own hair for the 2nd time. I'm also asian, but what works best for me is #5 on top, #3 on the sides and back, and #2 around the side edges. And I also don't use any guard to cut away the fur on the back of my neck.I love this device and thanks again
That is awesome!
Great job!
Thanks for your experience sharing !

If it cuts out push the button underneath and remove the blade unit. Then pull the hairs out of the black plastic mechanism with tweezers. Then oil the mechanism and the blade. It isn't the battery, it has a safety cut out after about 4 seconds !!!!
I purchased this and very happy with it. Does a good job
Great to hear!
Very helpful thank you

Tip #4 is the best one
Just received mine and cut my hair for the first time. I did it slightly wrong cos I cut the sides to short, but it works great.
wait a couple of weeks and try again~
I did mine. I couldn't find a Remington, only a copy but it worked just as well :D
I just went with 15mm all over for the action man look.
The Remington branded unit has been unavailable on amazon. Did you get a clipper with another brand name on it?
@@wharfrat53 It's just a no-name one. I bought it from a UK seller though, not someone in China. It looks exactly the same, probably is tbh. I bet Remmington just stick their logo on it. It was about £26 on ebay.
The hair on the side of my head grows fast
How does one remove the battery?
Also does anyone have difficulties with the power button and/or charging?
You can turn it and shave using the back side of blade,
How to change batterirs? I have lost my charger, and do not know how to change batteries to use it again.
I am buying one today. I always get the Barber to do a 1.5. ahh nervous incase I stuff it
Hi. Great videos, much appreciated. Just curious, can you shave the back of the neck and square up the back with this machine? Thank you!
Yes you can! Just don't attach any clips.
@@NewParentsInTraining Won't it look like a bunch of arcs?
@@Tome4kkkk I would buy the man groomer instead, it has a straight blade
You need to push the button underneath and remove the Blade Unit. Then pull the hairs out of the Black Plastic Mechanism with tweezers and oil it !!! The hairs jam the mechanism and it will cut out after about 4 seconds. It isn't the battery that is faulty, it has a safety cut out. The battery will last for years if you keep it charged every couple of months !!!!
I also read on Amazon that it pulls your hair. But going slow prevents the hair pulling you say?
yes, I have tried, when I go too fast it pulls, but do it slowly I have had no issues.
Make sure to oil the blades, go slowly and it shouldn't pull your hair. These sort of clippers motors don't have the power of full size clippers. So going slow will help
Can anyone help me.My Remington HC4250 died after using it a few times.I cleaned the blades and moved them and it came back to life for one cutting and now it doesn't work at all even though it id fully charged.
So there is no way to take it apart to get all those trapped hairs removed?
mine only lasted 9 months, then battery death, I think Remington changed the make of battery,
What happens if you don't do the lubricant part?
It won't run as smooth, and it will pull your hair when it's not lubricated.
I need to move very slow the machine because my hair is very thin...🙄
Don't know where you brought these clippers, but Remington is out of stock and can't find them on Amazon only knock offs.
yep, looks like Amazon is out of stock.
Grayman423 Back in stock now. Just bought 1 today.
If you used it 7-8 times and you had it for 2 months, that's using it every week
Yes, thank you for catching that, I miscounted. I have been using it every other week, so around 4-5 times.
Can I take the blade off and put in water?
Yes the blade can come off for washing.
How to cut my top hair, but not too short?
I would start with a clip that is higher in number and work my way down.
The hubs still won't let me cut his hair.......
keep trying lol
This product has massive battery issues. 3 out of 3 failed within a year. 2 out of 3 failed within 6 months. One of them failed in the first week. The product is fantastic while it works but it is so unreliable that I will not buy it again until they switch to lithium-ion power cells.
When you wash, did you take care to avoid water in the charging holes and keep blade part out while drying also the unit tilted so any water runs away from charging port? I always remove blades and tilt the unit during drying and it has worked for 2 years perfectly this way. If blades are left in I am certain they allow water to seep through to battery
My stoped working after 1st charge !!! Useless
Did you buy the Remington Lithium model? Look at the model number in his video and compare that to what you have.
