Akihabara (Akiba) is recognized as the center of Otaku (diehard fan) culture in Japan. Many stores and establishments specializing in electronics, anime, manga, retro video games, figures, and card games are dispersed throughout the district.
There are also numerous Maid Cafes where waitresses dress up and act like maids and anime characters.
There are many ways to enjoy yourself, and I recommend a visit here when you come to Japan.
