Well after seeing this, I got brave and sorted out the trigger. Cheers although I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the components inside the trigger mechanism. I only needed to polish the sear surface and found no other burrs or sharp edges. When I get a set of o-rings I shall attack the rest and have a little fettle...
Do you make or sell any parts for the qb78 line of products?I am interested in high volume valve, transfer port and bolt probe. I'd just like to Improve reliability and accuracy if possible. Loved the details on your video and I know I am late to the party but I love the QB just needs a few tweaks. I've also got the new 1085 which originally appeared to be on par with my original qb78 but about 1000 pellet through all of a sudden my velocity was erratic and I could feel air blowing around the bolt probe. I was told to strip it down and it may be orings and or transfer port. Iam mechanically inclined but I've never stripped down the qb78 yet but am Interested in doing so
I would have also moded the transfer port and the barrel inlet you gained only 50 fps for all that work that is not much of a gain for all that.i als would have lighten the valve spring as well just a bit tho
Hello mate i bought a victory cp2 and i feel in its rifle form it is underpowered, i went on your website and seen 3 hammer springs of different lengths, and the steel spring guide for 21 quid, my question to you or anyone else, being a person that has never tuned a gun, would adding one of your bigger stronger springs be enough difference?
Ive seen most of these modifications on your website and plan to get them, however I cant seem to find the barrel that you mentioned in this video, and also just to clarify these modifications will keep my xs78 within the legal limit?
A less professional version can be made from 10mm copper heating pipe with the end crushed flat in a vice, then tidied up with a file. I used a bit of grip tape on the handle end. If you file a slot in the middle of the "blade" end you can also use the same tool on the stock nut. Looking at the dimensions shown by the video maker, who is a gunsmith rather than a home bodger like me, even better results could probably be got from the common 15mm size pipe and a bit more time filing the "blade" to size.

The slot needs to be 3.5mm X 2.5mm with a diameter of 18.7mm. Connect a rod (at least 10 inches long) and pin it. so it cannot move.

The kit is designed to get nearer the UK limit of 10 to 12 ft lbs. Just check with a good chronograph after running in.
