He just makes movies doesn't think about the style. Love that.
Definition of the MENSCH. Met the man at Speed The Plow - Remains production in Chicago. Gracious and Kind!
Great interview! Thanks for posting.👍😎
I heartily concur !
Mamet is always an entertaining as well as enlightening interview.
That was great! Thanks.
I certainly have a notion to second THAT emotion !
Great!
Go read Mamet's BAMBI VS. GODZILLA. One of the best non-fiction accounts on Hollywood ever. Right up there with ADVENTURES IN THE SCREEN TRADE.
Talking about films being lumped into Noir. I would love to know Eddie's opinion of whether a Western could be (I say no way) a Film Noir.
"Blood on the Moon" is often referred to as such.
Just a great western starring a Noir icon in black and white, but with too many essential elements missing is what I think.
The Best.
I adore Mamet... so it's very frustrating to deal with the lousy sound quality here. Unforgivable.
It's too difficult to hear Mamet to warrant continuing. What a shame.
I don't know what Mamet is talking about referring to the Bach "Toccata" being just a repetition of a c-minor triad. Huh???
