    I was about to install that as a tension for my gate to bring it up from sagging, but then I saw your gate lifter. Headed back to Lowe’s now. That’s exactly what I needed

      It’s working great for me! I’ve added a little more tension and it brought the gate right back up to level. A simple and easy fix!

    Useful. I am a 66yr old woman on my o wn and my gates keep being left open. This should solve the problem so I don’t have to worry about my dogs.

    Excellent video Dan! Thank you very much I was just getting ready to put twist and I noticed always always always put a few drops of glue in the hole before I run the screw-in it's just a little tip to help

      Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It’s still working just fine. The combination of the closer and the gate lift is definitely a good addition. The lift is easy to adjust if there’s any new sagging.
      I’ve not needed to adjust the closer spring at all.👍

    Great video, my gate is approx 4 feet wide, do I use a 12 or 14 inch spring?

    • @BoilerDan1
      @BoilerDan1  Před 3 měsíci

      Although I’m not an expert…..
      I measured my gate and it’s 2 inches short of being 5 foot. It’s 42 inches tall. I installed the 14 inch spring and have not had any problems.
      That being said, the 14 inches is the total length for the entire mechanism. The spring itself is about 11 inches.
      So I’d go with the 14” version.
      👍👍

    • @BoilerDan1
      @BoilerDan1  Před 3 měsíci

      I’m rethinking my response! The smaller spring should also work….. pick either one 👍😂👍.

    Back of package says counter clockwise, but the sticker on these things say clockwise.

    • @BoilerDan1
      @BoilerDan1  Před 10 měsíci +1

      At about 2 minutes 10 seconds into the video you can clearly see I’m turning clockwise, but then after the tab is inserted, the bolt springs counter clockwise as it locks in place…. But that’s only about 1/4 inch and is front the spring tension pushing it that way.
      Hope that helps and makes sense 👍

    Why do tension pins keep falling out

    • @BoilerDan1
      @BoilerDan1  Před 2 lety

      I’ve not had any issues like that? Mine is mounted vertically so the pin rest’s on the support bolt. Maybe put a drop of adhesive on the pin so it won’t slide? Or add more tension to see if that holds the pin tight.
