Such a amazing song. The 90’s had the best music period
Huge hit in the 90's
One deep dark night this song... saved my life. Staying up late in my early twenties I was hit by a panic attack. Thoughts of suicide, of ending my life we're all I could think about. Not knowing what else to do I put on the song that at that time I had fallen in love with and that song was "More Than Words" by
Extreme. I put the song on repeat and hugged myself in my bed and just listened to it over and over and over again. Eventually I calmed down and I was able to go to sleep. For as long as I draw breath I will cherish this song and power it had one fate filled night to pull me from the edge. A perfect song.
Most of this groups music is hard rock. This is a rare ballad from them.
I remember seeing an interview where the guy interviewing Nuno was joking about how when he worked at a record store, that album was the most returned...he would try and warn all the middle age women that it wasn't what the album was like, they wouldn't listen, a few days later they were back complaining it was too loud lol

This song came out when I was in college. And I tell you every black person was singing this song. It gets you in the feels
After like an 18 year hiatus, they actually have new music out, released just last year. Nuno is a guitar god. Check out "#Rebel" for some good vocal gymnastics. "Rise", "Play With Me", "Get the Funk Out" all have great guitar work (amongst many others). They have a large catalog, and their songs are truly "Extreme" in the sense that they bounce around all types of musical styles, but mostly rooted in rock. Seen them a few months ago, great live band. First time since the early '90s lol. "Hole Hearted" would be a great one to do after this one. Upbeat acoustic driven song.

No that's actually not what the meaning is that's what a lot of people took away from it but it came from something that Gary's girlfriend said to him. Because he always said I love you when it was convenient and she said back it up.
