Love your attitude to riding. Not interested in knee down and just enjoy the riding in your own style and how you want to. No desire to be a poser and couldn't give a shit about chicken strips. Respect to you for that 👍👍 I just bought a 2009 Fazer S2 and love it 😎
Thanks dude, really appreciate the positivity 👍🏼
Getting your knee down on the road is all good and well, until you hit a patch of oil/diesel and then you get your shoulder down...then your back...then the other knee!
I own a bike like this for 4 years. 1st - it never let me down.
2nd - I love this engine. Why would you need lot`s of torque when you are just driving like a normal person obeying the speed limit? I have found it calm and comfortable every time I want it to be like that. WHEN you want to have some fun or race smb just drop the gear down! I don`t see why so many people constantly complaining for no reason at all. Yes, that is a high reving engine, so what? You wanna have power? Just rev it and that`s it!
This bike allowed me to follow any bike on a road during fast group trips. It allowed me to race other 600cc bikes does not matter sport or street still even IF someone is a little faster it is not much. I also raced this bike against 700hp Camaro and it was very close up to 150km/h! So I am VERY happy with everything this bike has to offer. Very reliable machine and it can be anything you want - calm and comfortable daily driver or rapid and loud rocket on wheels.
I find that all Yamaha FZ's are all underrated machines. Yamaha were idiots and priced them higher than the competition and as a result a lot of people didn't buy them which makes them cheap weapons in the second hand market. I've ridden an FZ6 and loved it.
Yeah they aren't that common, I've only seen one since I've been riding, but really top solid bikes :)
A great bike that was a victim of Yamaha’s questionable marketing of the time.
Really was, criminally underrated, was a true street fighter of an R6
Sweet bike bro 💪 actually thinking of getting one as my first bike
Great looking bike. That tank paintjob is so cool.
Nice vid.
Just got this FZ6. 2008 with 14k miles! $2700 This is perhaps the greatest value bike I've owned. Comfortable, fun, fast, cool.
I'm a Harley rider mostly. But have an old 81 GS850G restoration. Love the old UJM bikes. The FZ6 are those bikes on steroids.
I plan on touring a bit and commuting with it. Probably better have a Go-Fund-Me page for speeding tickets. :-)
What it needs; Cruise control, radio and some storage space.
By the way...did you notice you drive on the wrong side of the road?!
Doug Fresh that's a great deal bro
sweet as hell deal .. i would jump on it instantly :D .. cruise controll ? .. get the manual one .. radio ? .. get a Sena or something like it . added benefit .. packtalk :)
@@Ladosligese since that comment, I got a Cardo. Great accessory. Unplugged the $800 stereo and Rockford Fos speakers on my Elect Glide. I’ve repented of being one of those loud radio asses. 😆
Only way to go!
@@dougfresh1341 nice move haha :D
Just FYI, lately I sold the FZ6. 😢
You guys know how it is, I was either going to die or get arrested with this bike.
And yeh, i miss it already.
Maybe I should’ve governed the throttle. ???
Great vids, keep it up. Gonna buy my first bike next spring and this might be the one!
nice review quickie. the bike is all about the power ❤🤘
Cool orange color with the black stripes, still loving mine it's an 07 red/black frame
Love your content. Fan from Nairobi, Kenya
Woah no way, didn't know I had people there watching my videos. Thanks so much man!
DanTheTwoWheeler no problem bro.
Great review! Glad your happy with a proper bike ;)
+Motardcraft Yeah its so much better, you need to come up to Manchester one day dude!
DanTheTwoWheeler indeed I do. Need a ride with you and shamus :)
Motardcraft so you classify a 125 as not a proper bike?
Lovin these views..I'm hooked..miss getting out these days....
Haha thanks man
What a road snake pass is, I miss living in Manchester so enjoy seeing the city centre,
Yeah its a top road
i brought the mt07 last week... love it! like the colour and sound of yours tho 👍👌
My greetings to you from Morocco, thank you for the translation ♥️♥️🇲🇦🤗🤗
here in sweden you can actualy have that bike with A2. you just have to detune it down to 35kw and register it as a A2. edit: oh lol forgot i watched this. well got my own fz6n now xD
An fz6 gets like 50mpg, mine got better than that some days.
Just found this channel and love it, keep up the vids bro! 😎
Thanks dude!
I sold my old bike, so I'm going to buy a new FZ6n or XJ6 or Gladius. Just 13km from my town a woman selling her FZ6N (2008) in very good condition and I'll check, and I wanted to ask about common issues, what should I check first? Every bike has, my old Yamaha has a fuel tube too close to the engine and after every 2 years it cracked... tnx
Payday is so freaking close! I can’t decide between this and the vstrom 650 😞
Hmm personally I'd say this, but of course I may be slightly bias 😜
the vstrom is pretty slow.. go with the fz6
I really like the video and your personality as well, i can tell you are a hamble/true guys. Thank you.
Thanks man, appreciate it 🙏🏼
fz6 is a great road bike and they are pretty quick too. sounds great comfortable and reliable. what more do you need?
you went from an r125 to a fz6!!!
bet that was a revalation for you. i got to find the video of your first time on the fz6 after the r125 lol 😂
I just got a MT07 2017 model I am currently building into a stunt bike and a 07’ Zx6R I’m building into a stunt bike too and I’m planning on either getting one of these or a grom for stunting aswell to practice better on my stunting skills so if I fall it doesn’t matter you know
sick transition
Thanks dude
Your talking about a 125cc but didnt u get your driver license on a 600cc? Becouse in my country thats the minimum u need to drive on, even a2 license but then its a little tuned down
Nope, I rode 125s for almost 2 years before upgrading to a 600 :)
Hey! I Just got for my self Fz6n 2005 Black Edition:) I really like your channel! Please tell me which tires you recommend for fz6 and which one you have on your bike?
I've got the Metzler Roadtec 01s top tyres 👌
I've owned 2 FZ 600 N The First was brand new cost $11,200. Australian Dollars. That was written off when a stupid Old cunt drove straight into me snapping the frame in half around the steering stem. With the insurance money bought what I have now . The same a year newer and different colour.. I'd get another one if something happens to this one
You'll upgrade, upgrade again, upgrade again, sell up, then start again, losing thousands in the process... I did, over 35 yrs.
Stick with the Fz6. Invest your money. (hence im looking at an fz6) 👍😀
U as an experienced rider, would you recommend the FZ6 or the GSR600????? I becoming a new rider
Not ridden the GSR so can only comment on the FZ6. I loved it as an upgrade from the 125, not super torquey though so if you want that better off with the MT07
I've written an FZ6 today but the exhaust was sherry in comparison to yours. What exhaust have you put?
Whoa that transition in the beginning
+Song Wei Ho 😊
Question : I want to buy a bike but trying to figure out the size I need. I’m 5”6 about 125 Lbs.. I live out of town in the country but the only road I can take is the country highway speed limit 75 mph what would be a good size for me.. I tried a 250cc and it was really light and wind blew it around a bit..
Looking at getting one but also been looking at CBR600F and a Hornet
Just bought one of these as an A2 rider so it can be done as long as its restricted
'ohh yeah man this guys got no chicken strips!' hahaha
Love your video, subscribed
Thanks man 👍🏼
Doesnt that last fuel bar on the guage start flashing for a while before it actually runs out?
+Jay B hmm not sure, never taken it that low
Yep, around when 4-5 liters of fuel left then starts blinkin.
Does your FZ6 get super vibey around 6-9K RPM's? like an uncomfortable rattling noise? Mine does that and its almost unbearable I can't half throttle to beyond 7grand, i have to either bang out the gears full twist or just short shift. Maybe I need a slip on or something.. It seems like an exhaust issue.
Is it not the mirror?
I would have commented early if I hadn't seen this video just now. My guess would be your throttle body synchronisation are out and need to be re-synchonised .Don't worry it's not a serious problem and is easy to fix
So you tried to do a wheelie in cheetham hill tesco the same place i also practiced lool
I got the fz6n from 2009. In yellow and black and I absolutely love it!
Is it a good beginner bike?
I see that your still replying to these comments which is insane man I love it... I’m SEEING a FZ6N today! Like in the next 6 hours and it’s a 2007 one, black, 24000 miles and very clean.. for 1600. Did you even restrict it or?
Always dude! And you can't restrict the FZ6 for A2 licence unfortunately 😕
So you rode it on a A2 license?
Also is there any way I can talk to you about this? Like I find CZcams very shit for socialising
@@JuniaxCS I've got a full licence
Oh I thought you had a A2 license, okay well I was thinking of getting one on my a2 but idk now lol
Just watched a few of your videos mate, I too have just passed my test and looking what too buy.. 1St choice would be the xj6n or the er6n... BUT iv been looking at the fz6n due to it being cheaper as it's slightly older.. How ever you have done a video on the fuel consumption BUT how about a video on all the true running cost's? i.e insurance from a 125cc to a 600cc and service costs ect ect.
Anyway m8 good videos, cant wait too get my new bike over the snake pass, i live at the other end (Huddersfield). safe riding you have another subsciber ;)
+sailor c smith my insurance was actually cheaper than my 125 ☺️
how much was your insurance on a 125? mine is 220 a year so i doubt a 600 would be cheaper
Well i ended up getting a Kawasaki ER6n on Wednesday i got fully comp, with 3 years no claims, plus a few extra's like brekdown cover and 4-5 other things and it cost total £260. It wasn't the cheapest on the comparison website, but when i worked it all out, i got alot more for my money then if i did go for the chepest. the chepest was £190 taking into account i got my reminder through for my old mito sp525 and that was £124 full comp but with very little extras..
The best bet is just to put your details into a comparison website and check the box, bike not bought yet. It will tell you routhly what it will cost ;)

Wonder now you have owned a fz6 mt07 /fz07 and mt09/fz09. Where do you put this bike? More power than 07 but less than 09.
On paper it's more power than the MT07 but in reality they're almost the same. The low down torque of the 07 means it pulls harder and quicker than this does whilst it whines up to the higher rpm.
is it restricted to the 47hp? that your aloud on the a2 license or is it unrestricted ?
ewelina kryszczyszyn Yo can have any bike as long as it's restricted to this amount
What shift counter is that?
I think it was a Healtec if I remember correctly
Yes
I got the same bike as you do, but mine is red so its faster:D
leaving the jokes aside, awesome bike. at mine the raw power starts at 5000 RPM. Im riding since almost 2 months and im afraid of her:D
Mine's only 150cc, but it's red, so just as fast as yours.
Just picked up my fz6n 2009. Kinda nervous to ride it. Jumping from a crf250L
You'll be fine 😅 I went from a 125 and was ok (just about!). Just take it easy on the first few rides, don't compete with anyone, you'll be good 👍🏼
Love the video i have an 04 fz6 not enough power for me lol
Could this be the former MT-09?
Looks reallay great, I'm thinking about buying one but still not sure.
MT09 is a triple cylinder machine
Is that an aftermarket gear indicator you have? If so, can you recommend a source?
I think it is the healtec gear indicator
gidon marka moodel?
how much did it cost to do you're test??
my FZ6 used to like to get going after 6k. Reeeeeeeee
The Last Jedi is about an outdated system being put to rest finally so a sequel to the shirt film would be The Last Two Stroke
BrO'Neill haha
Was this your second bike
just went from a ninja 250 to an 07 fz6... 5400 miles got it for $2400 usd. what exhaust do you have?
+Sam Cyanide sp engineering
damn! for 2k?
I buy the same motorcycle in this month, regards from spain
How do the rental bars feel. Did you ride it standard?
Feel soooo much better. I'd only ridden the bike with the rental bars first, then later I rode a stock FZ6 with normal handlebars and was like wth is this?! Just felt so squashed and weird to steer, if I was getting another FZ6, it would be one of the first mods I'd do.
Do you know what type rental bars they are
Can i ask were did you end up bu3it from
yo that bike should have plenty of go in it to get the front tire up in the air your probably doing something incorrectly if your struggling to get lift on your front end
I got a Honda Blackbird. How does this compare?
as good as your bike to suzuki gsx1300r turbo
No where near as fast as the Blackie but it is lighter and still plenty powerful enough to have fun.
almost 90.000 views and only 730 likes?!!!
🤷🏻♂️
How did you do your full test when you was only 20?
Where there's a will, there's a way...
Dan can you recommend the FZ6 on a restricted licence? (if its even possible to get one as different sources state different power output) looking at getting my licence in a few weeks. Also of you're bored of Snake pass try the A635 or the A6024 beautiful roads. You can also visit Dove stone reservoir for some really nice sights.
Mine is a single cylinder so it's the opposite of smooth lol. Still hella fun though
Hey. If you ever do want to sell. I’ll buy Her. And whenever I fly to you. I’ll have a bike to ride. I’m driving a 2006 Yamaha FZ6 down here in Portland Oregon United States, haha..
Question, Dan. What kind of camera do you use? Looking for a quality one that doesn't cost more than the bike........
In terms of when I'm riding on the bike or for taking proper photos?
Like your videos 👍
Thanks man, much appreciated
are these alright for taller riders 6ft?
Yeahh I'd imagine so
They're fine. I have a 2008 FZ6 and I'm 6"2. Most comfortable bike I've owned.
Hey guy... Excuse me but I want to know what's your height?
+Diego Granda About 6ft
How is this a2 compliant
It is restricted.
elias S he has done his ful bike license guys says so in the vid
Is this bike a 125 ?
No it's a 600cc
I came here, because I thought this was a review. Not really though.
Yeah, more short term views, I'm planning on doing a full review soon :)
