Around the year 1894, the Royal House asked the writer to create a story for King Alfonso XIII, who at that time was 8 years old and had recently lost a tooth.
In most french speaking countries we have La Petite Souris (The Little Mouse). I had no idea it came from Spain! Also, in Easter, instead of a bunny it is the bells which bring the eggs (they are supposed to fly from Roma, if I remember correctly).

They were mad because, the plan was to stop pitch, get back the fairies and memories and then he could see his memories, to them it looked like he broke his promise to go get his own memories. Even if he didn't do that intentionally he did brake his promise, and they felt disappointed because they were all counting on him.
If you look closely at the hair color of the children in Jack's backstory and where Jack died, you'll see that Jamie is most likely a descendant of Jack's family.

This is kinda late, but I agree somewhat. Like, they think he made a deal with Pitch to get his memories back. I always thought it was because he never came back to help them too (even though he was pretty much their only defense). They relied on him for this and he just abandoned them. They literally will disappear and lose their powers if all the kids stop believing in them, so, in their minds, he sentenced them to death by ruining Easter.
Ive seen this movie so often and I just realised why the base of pitch is under this old bed. In the old folklore the boogeyman is the famous monster under the bed children are always afraid of. Thats why its a dark cave under a bed. I cant believe I just got that right now
Sand man is the strongest out of all of them. Because people always dream especially kids and he creates happy dreams so ofcourse people are going to believe in him the most .
this movie is my favorite, it brings me back to my childhood, a time where I could see the magic of the world. the way the Christmas tree sparkled with lights and ornaments. The way I'd try desperately to stay awake to catch the tooth fairy, only to magically fall asleep each time. The excitement of waking up on easter morning and finding the colorful baskets filled with treats; always smelled like sugar. Each winter I'd always try and eat the falling snowflakes, it always warmed me up with joy when they landed on my nose or even in my eyes; made me laugh. This movie brings me back to that magic, I remember it and believe in it. And when you still believe in that magic, the world is so much more colorful. Being an adult doesn't mean you need to stop believing. That childhood magic is still there, it never left; you left it.

In fact, there's countries where the guardians presented in this movie are someone else with the same role. Example : I talked about the little mouse as the equivalent of the Tooth Fairy but we also have " The Easter bells " instead of The Easter Bunny (even if we know it)
Grew up watching it and love it also i believe that Jamie is the descendant of Jack Frost's sister hence why Jamie and her look alike plus the first village Jack goes to he makes his home and it grow to the town that Jamie lives in but that town when it was a village was close to where Jack died saving his sister meaning he died not far from home so Jack Frost is technically Jamie's Uncle. Here in Wisconsin (USA) it’s always a 50/50 chance of there being snow on Easter so yes there’s definitely places everywhere that have snow in April lol. Every few years we even get freak blizzards in May that can drop a few inches to a couple feet of snow out of absolutely nowhere. Couldn’t tell you why I live here! Love when you guys get hyped to the same scenes I do!
Sandman is the most powerful and oldest of the group. Dreams after all can keep any one going. Pitch is also as old and his backstory is sad. He did have a family like Jack but lost them. If I recall correctly his daughter was killed by demons or shadow creatures. While this movie had a good ending I wish there had been sequels showing how the other guardians became guardians similar to the book series.
The way I remember it, Pitch was the general of the army, and one of the strongest people around. And he was a good guy. So, he volunteered to guard a prison of some sort full of the most vile, evil creatures in the universe. And eventually, after centuries of doing his duty, the darkness of the creatures he was guarding consumed him, and he re-emerged as Pitch Black, the Boogeyman. The evilest of them all and incredibly powerful.
So Pitch was a general and tasked with guarding a prison that house fearlings (essentially beings that feed on fear). However the fearlings tricked him into thinking they had his daughter so he opened the door and was consumed. Ironically his daughter was still alive and became the Mother Nature of Earth and works under the Man in the Moon (who was a child when the fearlings destroyed everything) Sandman was a Wishing Star Pilot who decided the fearlings in dreams and would fight them (he eventually loses the power to sense them in return for the power to give good dreams). E. Aster (Easter Bunny) is the last known survivor of a race destroyed by the fearlings. He use to be very stuffy and polite and he is technically the oldest one there because he is older than even Pitch black and Sandy (who were adults when MotM was a baby). Can't remember Toothianas story but I know her people left Earth. Santa became a Guardian, and when the Guardians finally become a team, in the first battle with Pitch in the middle ages.

I think because Sophie was sleep and unaware, Jack's able to touch them. I mean he can touch surfaces and snow. So I think her being sleep allows for that. They blamed Jack because he was supposed to be back to help them. With the tooth fairies gone and now Sandman, collectively they are very weak. This doesn't affect Jack cause technically he's not a Guardian yet, so they needed his powers and he wasn't there. Yall should check out Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole if you haven't. A very underrated film. Like this one.
How to push out nightmares? Either replace them with "happy dreams" (Sandman) or stay away long enough to remeber "happy times" (Jack) and replace your nighmares with them..... That is actually works ...
I still remember (30 something years ago in south-east (Baden-Würtemberg) Germany) there was an easter when the outside was covered in snow. Till this day i don't know how my mother got this easter basket in the middle of a 6x6 meter garden without leaving any footprints....... I really like this movie and one of the things that always got me is that if Pitch had used some facts and chose his words a bit more carefully he could have turned Jack to his side especially since he was the only being to know how Jack feels. Then throw in some stuff about the Guardians not caring about him like what would've happened if Jack accepted being a Guardian at the start he would've disappeared because Guardians start to fade when no one believes in them and Jack didn't have anyone who believes in him so he would've DIED DIED, no more. If Pitch had settled on that he could've covered his glaring flaws from Jack and instead made him focus on how the Guardians almost killed him out of negligence.

Frozen - Elsa Rise of the Guardians - Jack Frost Elsa + Jack = Jelsa These two are like lovers and like lovers. I want these 2 animations to meet so much. I want him to name the title Rise of the Frozen Guardians. I've seen other people or fans who like to edit pictures and videos, sometimes drawing fan art. Some people really like this couple a lot. I want these 2 things to meet. But they are in different camps with Walt Disney Animation Studios and DreamWorks Animation. I really want them to make these 2 animations together. So I saw in other comments that the reason Jack Frost isn't dead from not being believed in was because he wasn't a guardian then and hadn't started to be believed in. But my question is, why wasn't Picth dead. Or did he just have enough people believing in him to get by. But he didn't go week, he was very strong it seemed. One thing I've never considered all these years is that with the number of times horror and scary films influence people and the amount of crazy people in the world in general (adults mostly) I'm shocked there isn't at least a few people who believe in someone like pitch aka Boogeyman, I mean that's wrong and I'm not that type of person, but does it sound far fetched, especially with the types of crazy shit some people even believe in? Anyway, in my personal opinion, Rise of The Guardians is way too underrated for it's own good and I personally think it deserves more recognition, I vividly remember this coming on every Christmas on FX or some channel growing up and it just brings back so many good times, one of DreamWorks best in my opinion
I've always wondered if the books talked about the time before the Guardians. Before they were there, there were already dreams and hopes. Ever since the Guardians came, it's still been there, only with bribes in the form of eggs and coins. So how has that changed since the Guardians are there with the dreams and wishes?...Or am I just thinking too logically? Don't get me wrong, I love this movie, but that's always bothered me. From what I can recall, the books are about how the Guardians came to be. Like how North became Santa, how they met E. Aster Bunnymund and what made Pitch become the Boogeyman. Of course, with most children's book adaptations, the movie is wildly different, but still true to the core of the story.
Rise of the Guardians, was a film I absolutely enjoyed when I was little, still do today. I loved seeing you guys react to it, and can I suggest you guys check Lightyear?
This is one of my favorite childhood movies of all time. The only one that's on the same level for me is how to train your dragon. There's just something about that era of DreamWorks that was just so good. Rise of the guardians is one of the most underrated movies ever, and I'm glad to see so many reactions to it

This movie is one of my fav but the thing is the books are way more interesting.. It explores the original story of pitch black, jack frost and the man in the moon and their relationship. SPOILERS!!!! . Pitch black has one of the most heartbreaking back story i have ever read.. that is why he is very complex and one of my fav "villians" .. He wasnt always the nightmare king but a golden general called *kozimos pintcher* who protected a golden kingdom that was far away from earth..this kingdom was ruled by a kind and powerful king who trusted kozimos to protect his people from the darkness that was created by fear and nightmares.. So with an army behind him he manged to capture it and locked it in seals meant to keep them away forever to create a peaceful world again .. But he wasnt fadt enough because the darkness manged to kill his beloved wife and duaghter.. 💔 And because these seals needed a guardian the king chose kozimos for this cost.. After losing his family he slowly began to lose his mind and the darkness used that to their benefit by mimicking his duaghter's voice to isnt dead and had been captured by them this whole time .. "she" cried for her father to save her for months and in the end kozimos couldnt take it anymore and was forced to open the seals to save "his duaghter".. instead he got posessed by the darkness and became pitch black...he corrupted his army of golden warriors to become nightmares and nightmare men and with them he manged to destroy the kingdom he once swore to protect and killed the king and the queen.. However.. before they were killed they used a powerful magic to protect their one_year old son whom named *manny* aka the man in the moon .. This powerful magic created a star called *the nightlight* who took the baby faraway from the fallen kingdom and planned on taking him to earth but pitch black followed them and fought the nightlight into a battle So huge it ended up freezing them both in a lake on earth and leaving manny on the moon.. After So many years the baby became *the man in the moon* and with his power he tried to raise his guardian from the lake But in doing so the nightmare king was awaken too and that was the start of *the dark ages*.. On The other hand the nightlight tried to stop him by dreaming and he manged So while the man in the moon chose the other guardians to spread hope and wonder without Actually meeting jack frost .. after that the nightlight decided to change his fate from dying and becoming a star to search for the family he saw in his dream and become human called "jack frost" and he found them and lived with them for a long time that is how he met his "sister" whom he loved dearly.. The lake accident was done by a loyal servent of pitch black who broke the ice trying to kill both of them but jack stepped in and saved her .. Jack frost didnt Actually died in the lake he got frozen and in Order for pitch black not finding him he let go of his power and memories.. That explian why he doesnt remember anything from his childhood.. The story is so beautiful that it deserve an original movie but the studio is stupid for not even trying to do So.. 💔

One thing I've never considered all these years is that with the number of times horror and scary films influence people and the amount of crazy people in the world in general (adults mostly) I'm shocked there isn't at least a few people who believe in someone like pitch aka Boogeyman, I mean that's wrong and I'm not that type of person, but does it sound far fetched, especially with the types of crazy shit some people even believe in? Anyway, in my personal opinion, Rise of The Guardians is way too underrated for it's own good and I personally think it deserves more recognition, I vividly remember this coming on every Christmas on FX or some channel growing up and it just brings back so many good times, one of DreamWorks best in my opinion
I've always wondered if the books talked about the time before the Guardians. Before they were there, there were already dreams and hopes. Ever since the Guardians came, it's still been there, only with bribes in the form of eggs and coins. So how has that changed since the Guardians are there with the dreams and wishes?...Or am I just thinking too logically?
Don't get me wrong, I love this movie, but that's always bothered me.

From what I can recall, the books are about how the Guardians came to be. Like how North became Santa, how they met E. Aster Bunnymund and what made Pitch become the Boogeyman. Of course, with most children's book adaptations, the movie is wildly different, but still true to the core of the story.

This is one of my favorite childhood movies of all time. The only one that's on the same level for me is how to train your dragon. There's just something about that era of DreamWorks that was just so good. Rise of the guardians is one of the most underrated movies ever, and I'm glad to see so many reactions to it

This movie is one of my fav but the thing is the books are way more interesting.. It explores the original story of pitch black, jack frost and the man in the moon and their relationship.
SPOILERS!!!!
. Pitch black has one of the most heartbreaking back story i have ever read.. that is why he is very complex and one of my fav "villians" .. He wasnt always the nightmare king but a golden general called *kozimos pintcher* who protected a golden kingdom that was far away from earth..this kingdom was ruled by a kind and powerful king who trusted kozimos to protect his people from the darkness that was created by fear and nightmares.. So with an army behind him he manged to capture it and locked it in seals meant to keep them away forever to create a peaceful world again .. But he wasnt fadt enough because the darkness manged to kill his beloved wife and duaghter.. 💔
And because these seals needed a guardian the king chose kozimos for this cost..
After losing his family he slowly began to lose his mind and the darkness used that to their benefit by mimicking his duaghter's voice to isnt dead and had been captured by them this whole time ..
"she" cried for her father to save her for months and in the end kozimos couldnt take it anymore and was forced to open the seals to save "his duaghter".. instead he got posessed by the darkness and became pitch black...he corrupted his army of golden warriors to become nightmares and nightmare men and with them he manged to destroy the kingdom he once swore to protect and killed the king and the queen..
However.. before they were killed they used a powerful magic to protect their one_year old son whom named *manny* aka the man in the moon .. This powerful magic created a star called *the nightlight* who took the baby faraway from the fallen kingdom and planned on taking him to earth but pitch black followed them and fought the nightlight into a battle So huge it ended up freezing them both in a lake on earth and leaving manny on the moon.. After So many years the baby became *the man in the moon* and with his power he tried to raise his guardian from the lake But in doing so the nightmare king was awaken too and that was the start of *the dark ages*.. On The other hand the nightlight tried to stop him by dreaming and he manged So while the man in the moon chose the other guardians to spread hope and wonder without Actually meeting jack frost .. after that the nightlight decided to change his fate from dying and becoming a star to search for the family he saw in his dream and become human called "jack frost" and he found them and lived with them for a long time that is how he met his "sister" whom he loved dearly..
The lake accident was done by a loyal servent of pitch black who broke the ice trying to kill both of them but jack stepped in and saved her ..
Jack frost didnt Actually died in the lake he got frozen and in Order for pitch black not finding him he let go of his power and memories.. That explian why he doesnt remember anything from his childhood..
The story is so beautiful that it deserve an original movie but the studio is stupid for not even trying to do So.. 💔
