- Learn how to make a DIY corner entertainment center by creating two floating corner shelves. This floating shelf entertainment center can easily be built in a weekend. We used reclaimed wood for this project. Pallet wood or fence pickets would be other great materials to use for this project.

I forgot to comment on this before. My son and I built this in April for his wood shop class after they started distance learning. The plans were easy to follow and turned out great. Thank you!
That is great to hear Michael! Thanks for letting me know!
I like it and now the wife wants some by her desk and of course love the pup hanging out in the shop
Great to hear from you Shawn! Enjoy the build!
Your dog stole the show, great TV table and stay safe.🇨🇦
Thanks! Yeah Halina is such a star! :) Cheers
you the man Pete! it's awesome your wife & you took part in it too. Teamwork makes the dream work! thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, Christian! Hope things are well! Cheers
OMG who needs a TV with a billion dollar view like that, in and incredible room :)
Thanks for watching! haha, if it weren't for sports and news, we definitely wouldn't have one ! Cheers
OMG I was just trying to sort out a large corner TV placement. I’m making this as a surprise if my current housing plans work out. I love the safety glasses on the doggo!!
Hey Terri! Hope the house plans go as planned! Have fun with your build!
Hosing plan did not work out BUT it will be built somewhere someday!
Loved the reclaimed wood. Dog companion made the project even more pleasant. Proud of you guys👏
Thanks so much! Dogs are so great. Cheers!
Literally thinking about how I’ll be corner mounting my daughters TV a couple days ago. Then BOOM ran across this guys page. EVEN BETTER HE HAS A TUTORIAL!!! New subbie
Great to hear, good luck with the build!
Excellent video! Just mounted a new 65" tv to a corner in my living room and decided floating corner shelves would be a good choice for an entertainment center. Came across your video and love the idea of using reclaimed fence boards...I have a lot of boards in my backyard from a fence project I just completed and was about to send them to the recycling center. But now I've got a great use for them! So glad I found this video!
Hey Pete - great to see your face and "meet" Britt! Also nice to see you're wearing sweatpants like the rest of us! Great video.
Well hey neighbor! Hope you guys are doing well, can't wait for this virus stuff to be over! Will be fun to bbq this summer. Sweatpants have become the norm haha :) Cheers and tell this snow to go away please!
Thanks for all the project ideas and plans Pete! Woodworking has been my go-to activity during the stay home orders.
Great to hear from you Robert! Stay healthy! Have fun woodworking!
Some fixer upper on the tv. That's my second favorite to watch, after yours of course! Beautiful project as always.
Great to hear from you Corey! Fixer upper is basically what we love to watch on lazy weekend mornings :) Cheers and thanks so much!
Pete , beautiful project , beautiful home and above all a extremely beautiful location . Loved it and thank you for sharing .😊
Thanks so much!
What a great idea using old fence boards. It looks awesome. I love the colour.👍❤️
Thanks so much!
DIY PETE No problem! You're so creative and talented. Hard working as well. Thanks for sharing.
Looks good Pete. Stay safe, rock on and GBR!
Thanks Jeff! Take care man and GBR!
I am in awe of your perfect walls allowing for easy 45’s. I am currently trying to build a corner shelf and am in angle hell. Not to mention the 2 fire blocks I’ve encountered trying to feed my wires in the wall.
ouch yeah that is painful, my thought is maybe create a 2x2 test fitter frame thing, then use as template for the angles, might be a ground zero starting point for the troubleshoot.
It's always the simple projects that are the most satisfying. Going with past proven ideas such as the floating desk drawer and modifying it to fit the next need just reinforces good ideas! I also see you are working on your deck, maybe a video of the build and putting in finishing touches like drink holders in the rails or other fun stuff is in order? Stay safe and enjoy life!
Thanks so much Peter and great to hear from you! Yep, going to be finishing the deck in the next month or so and a video will go over the whole build. I think we may do some cool railing and perhaps a seating area along one area of the rail. And then of course will make some patio furniture for it down the road! Looking forward to sharing, cheers!
Beautiful!
Thanks!
I'm glad to see that your dog takes health and safety seriously.
haha! She sure does, sometimes more than Britt and I! Cheers :)
Nice project! One of my first ones was a desktop in a corner like that, brings back the memories!
On the brad nails shooting out the side, you might want to change the angle of your gun 90 degrees, so that the length of that bottom board your nail's ending up in is running toward/away from you, up and down in relation to the gun. The operative principle is how the nails are shaped, and how they stack in the magazine. They're flat/oval in the stack, so they're going to want to do any deflecting inside the wood so as to bend up or down (toward the top or bottom of the gun), not side to side where they're thicker.
Thanks so much!
Looks great!
Thanks!
Muito interessante. Parabéns pela criatividade.
Gracias

@@DIYPETE Thank you very much for remembering us
Hi from Russia, Bro! Great content! Thnx for many good and working ideas!
Hey, thanks!
Hello Very nice family Project and well done the corner Shelve Saludos
Thanks Miguel!
I liked that you used the old wood from your fence! How long did you let it dry before making the corner shelves?
Thanks! We let it dry it dry out enough to work with the wood, but definitely not as long or properly as I normally would. Since we are in the stay at home rules for the virus, we didn't want to go out, yet we wanted to build a project, so we decided to just go for it! Wood was mostly just wet around the outsides when we got it, and we used the drier pieces and portions as we got started. It is looking beautiful though and we love how it turned out. Cheers!
I love how "Minnesotan" Britt sounded. "Ohhhhh yeaaah" Sounds just like home.
Thanks Jeff! Great to hear from you :) We both have spent quite a bit of time in Minnesota. Cheers!
Pretty cool you rock
Thanks for watching!
Thx for the video ... love the project .... simple and looks great ... great instructions to ... nice job :)
Thanks!
You work great! But I was sure that TV in corner was a thing of the past when we got rid of the CRT 😆😅. But you did it very clean ! One suggestion would be to get a soundbar and maybe embedded in one of the shelves. Im not a huge fan of soundbars but on this setup it would look very clean !
Thanks! Yeah I would typically do the TV on a wall, but the whole upstairs at the place is windows so this works for it :) I think a sound bar would be a nice addition for sure. Might have to get one! I did the 2 front speakers and 2 rear speakers in the ceiling that is fun to use for movies and music. Cheers!
Very nice!
Thanks!
Very nice
Thanks will!
Cool
Great result, I was planning to make one of these and use a cleat fastening style, but not sure how that cleat style would be leveled perfectly, it would wobble if not perfect. I want the cleat style so that I can take the shelf with me if I move, any tips or links for this would be bliss, thanks.
That looks fantastic!I can barely tell it's made from an old fence until you get right up on it. Really nice work! Gonna keep an eye on this channel. Don't know if you're interested, but I also make woodworking project videos. You guys be well, and keep up the great work!
Thanks, will do!
Great video Pete and nice to see Britt (Wife/Girlfriend) in the video, you should show her in more videos she's better looking than you ha ha ha. As i said before, a great build and i love the way you used the old wood but lightly sanded it to keep that aged look.
Take Care and Stay Safe (i'm still jealous of where you live)
Barry (ENG)
Great to hear from ya Barry! haha, Britt will definitely join for future videos here and there :) Take care over there in England. Cheers!
Call me inspired, great build
Cool project. What are dimensions for tv mount bracket
Perfect to watch a Husker game!
Definitely! GBR!!
0:27 That view!
Thanks for watching!
GO BIG RED!!
WOOWOO! GO BIG RED!
Pete what kind of push sticks do you use for your table saw? Do you like them?
Hey Rick! I use the Ridgid push stick that came with the saw, and then micro jigs. I really like the micro jigs.
B U tyfull 👍👌💕
Thanks!
You should open a shop & sell these. It is found no where else but here.
It’s nice when your corner is 90 degrees. My house must have been framed by drug addicts. For those at home check the squareness before you build 😀👍. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for pointing this out! Cheers
But how did you do the cable management? Is there a video??
What brand of TV mount did you use?
It is a Cheetah Mount. I did have to modify it by cutting the bracket down a bit as it was too wide to go on the wood bracket I built. Cheers!
Do you sale them?
I’m in need of one
I do not, but thank you for asking! I'm sure you could have a local woodworker make something similar using the plans. Cheers!
I just wanted to reach out. I downloaded some plans but due to my financial situation I didn’t donate to you. I know a dollar isn’t much to some but right now we’re counting ours. I do promise I will donate my fair share when I can. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Hi there! Glad you were able to use the plans :) No need to donate, they are meant to be used by any and everyone. I hope things are well :) Take care - Pete
What is a master carpenter?
