    Great video!! I just started tying perdigons and am excited to try them out. I'm equally impressed with your fly reel as I haven't seen anyone use an automatic since the 50's. I still have my Miracle which I got used when I was a kid and it still works perfectly. Where I fish in the Eastern High Sierra the trout are small enough that you don't need a drag reel as you fight those fish off the reel!!

    Great demo! I use them on a Tenkara rod and they are very good especially when the water is cold or a a little high and the fish stay deep between the rocks. Good on grayling too . I usally start the session with a classic futsu kebari and a perdigon on the tip so I know quite quickly where the fish ar feeding.

    Good day. Awesome video. I have been trying this nymphing, But i keep getting stuck to stuff, Rocks, reeds, stumps, grass ext, Because of the uneveness of the bottom of the river. For that reason i always though me flies being to heavy. but now videos like these suggest otherwise. How come you lads that make these video's never get stuck. Also if i use a dry fly as a indicator the nymph like these would pull it down

    • @tainflyfishing9302
      @tainflyfishing9302  Před rokem

      Hi Keith, use polarised glass so see the definition of the riverbed to avoid some of those obstacles, the funny thing is trout like to hide around them ,to prevent snagging judge the depth and when you thing your nymphs are near the bottom move your rod with the flow so it hangs your nymphs at the right depth as they go with the flow

    • @tainflyfishing9302
      @tainflyfishing9302  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi there, there's a few reasons, you are only fishing onfront of you so no need for the flyline to cast the nymphs far when you have more control when they are close to you,then also a leader is thinner than a flyline and the leader sags less outside the tip and more of a direct connection to the nymphs ,Hope this helps
