this recipe makes about 9-10 cookies
•
Ingredients:
2 mashed bananas
1/2 cup unsweetened peanut butter (120 ml) (I use a smooth pb that is 100 % made of peanuts)
1 cup (gluten-free oats) (240 ml)
1/4 cup 80% dark chocolate chips / chunks (60 ml / 40 g)
•
1.Mix the mashed bananas, peanut butter and oats together
2. Scoop the cookies on a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Add the chocolate chips / chunks on top
3. Bake at 180 Celsius degrees (350 in Fahrenheit) for 10-12 minutes
•
*If you are on the elimination phase of the low-FODMAP diet, be sure to use unripe bananas!☺️

Tried this and they turned out AWESOME. I added a pinch of salt, mixed the chips into the batter, and baked for 12 minutes. They keep well in the fridge. Thanks for this recipe!

Hey just a reminder, this is indeed healthier as in it has more nutrients than a regular cookie but that doesn't mean it's fit for weight loss! Peanut butter is super calorie dense, more than regular butter. If you're on a diet, just have a cookie for the day, it won't kill you: and stick to your calorie deficit!
plus, if you’re trying to eat less carbs, one banana has as many carbs as 2 slices of bread, so this wouldn’t help with that either
@@saras0703 banana has fiber and other nutrients, so it would be a better choice than bread. as refined carbs is to be watched out for, not healthy carbs.
also, eating fruits with whole grains avoids sugar levels crashing. like bananas with the oats.
but yea, peanut butter could be reduced and skimmed almond milk could be added for the lack of moisture (in case reducing pb dries the recipe out).

just my inner thoughts
i once placed a small container of water, side by side with a mug of batter (for diy mug cake i was trying) in the microwave oven. cuz previous time, it turned out a tiny bit too dry. this time it turned out more moist.
sorta worked like a humidifier does in a dry room.
so, if u lower the peanut butter, maybe add some skimmed almond milk or you know, liquid-y low calorie healthy alternatives.
but just in case it still gets too dry, place a tiny container of water to add moisture.

I make these all the time. I've adjusted the original recipe depending on my mood I'll add goji berries or dark chocolate in the biscuits. This recipe is very versatile and you can eat more than one which is a huge bonus lol

Replace Half cup applesauce = one banana
Replace the bananas with something like apple sauce or apple puree or something else entirely. So yes there’s stuff that can go in place of the Bananas same for peanut butter and oats those can be switched out by anyone with anything else as well. Just make the recipe without using bananas,oats or peanut butter in the recipe and you’ll still get a good tasting cookie with 4 ingredients in it
