99% sure, if they Fenix 8 comes with an Amoled instead of an MIP display, the Battery life, which has been almost a standalone feature for the Fenix, it will drop down to a generic one week of battery time. I don't get why you would an amoled display. The recent MIP has been sufficinetly good and sharp enough. You are not supposed to look at the watch for hours like a smartphone or tablet. The greater battery life, The excellent readability under sunlight and the practically always on display without losing anything are far more valuable imo. It has been the main reason I choose the Fenix 7 over other watches
@@DimitriSabadie but an apple watch offers more smart features. It has a more powerful processors and is essentially a phone mirror. That is a different target group. An apple watch only lasts a day cause it offers more functions. The Fenix is a contender to pure sport watches with a few smart features and those last 1 to 2 weeks.
I don't care if they launch it with AMOLED along they release MIPS option as well. My fear is if they just release the MIPS with the lower entry version, other than the features there are two things I'm looking for when buying a fenix: MIPS and Sapphire lens, if I don't get both I'm not going to get it.
Obviously sales saw more people buying the AMOLED garmin devices over the old dated MIP model... Id say there will be a MIPs version under another name
There is fenix with amoled already, its called epix. When i hear we want amoled on fenix on video i instantly dont take it serious anymore since the one talking obviously has no clue
i dont get it also why the Fenix series will have a additional model with an MIP display. What will happen to EPIX? This is how the companies do not listen to the users and they try to convince you with a technology that is not yet well established. MIP is so good for the reason that is made for and for the purspose we as the user need. Much better than the AMOLED. For outdoor activities there is no alternative at the moment. MIP is the only way to go.
Every current Fenix and Forerunner has all the hardware a person can want, it's been that way for years, so upgraded the appearance and a few hardware features won't motivate people to upgrade or buy a Garmin. The problem with Garmin isn't their hardware, it's Garmin Connect and the software side of things, it's outdated and Garmin doesn't seem to be interested in keeping up with the software feature side of things. I won't surprised if Apple passes them in a few years.
I'm pretty sure Steve Jobs designed this watch because since his death, the Fenix series has never changed its look. It's so boring. And if the 8 series still looks the same, I'll switch to Samsung.

Yeah, but even then, one week is still pretty good compared to something like Apple watches. Maybe they want to redirect Apple Watch owners.

My God why do we need Amoled for Fenix if we have Epix?
Apparently cause the epix wont get a succesor. Anyway I dont understand it either. The MIP display is just better for what it is supposed to be.

Because epix will be killed then

There will be a MIP called the fenix 8 E
I'm a big fan of Garmin products but dont want a fenix with amoled display. The MIP display is one of my favorite things about the fenix watch.

Sounds like Sylvester's voice lol
really?
That was a WHOLE lot of speculation. The amoled screen has already been leaked, despite your comment of "hoping to see".

Can the watch recognize when I am not wearing it??
Most of them already do. That’s how Garmin Pay works. It detects if you take it off and then, asks you to reenter the passcode.
@@kuzia1984 I just bought a Garmin and it does NOT detect when I am not wearing. It can be sitting on the table and then it vibrates and says MOVE.
yes
nice video
Thanks

MIP-Display with all AMOLED Skils

Please for the love of God. It's pronounced phoenix. There even a macron on the e to help you out.
It's pronounced "fee nicks", as in "phoenix", not "fen icks"

You don't talk about microphone
