When you are booking your vacation package to Jamaica it is always wise to do some math. Sometimes it is cheaper to book a pre-packaged vacation bundle from a travel company which includes your resort, flight, and transfers.
Other times it might be more advantageous to book the parts of your travel separately.
Sometimes you can save some money packaging the trip yourself; or you can choose flight times that better suit you, or you can extend or shorten your trip, or you may even want to split your trip between two different resorts. Or you simply want to get to the resort as quickly as possible without having to wait around at the airport or make stops along the way.
Whatever your reasons may be, we are here to let you know about our top 5 favourite transfer companies to take you from the Montego Bay Airport to your chosen resort.
Joe Cool Taxi and Tours - they offer both shared transfers and private transfers with shared being the less expensive. They include a beverage and you don't have to pay up front when you book.
Major One Tours - offers private transfers to your hotel, Airbnb, or resort. They also have VIP champagne services that you can choose from if you are celebrating something special. Pay close attention to their cancellation policies.
Jamaica Exquisite Tours and Transfers - offers private transfers to your hotel or resort. They have a fleet of modern, air-conditioned vehicles. They require you to pay upon booking and they have a reasonable cancellation policy.
Island Transfers and Tours - is a family owned transportation company that Started in 2009 by Byron and Eileen Powell. Island Transfers offers private transfer and not shared transfers. They have infant and child seats available just let them know in advance that you will need one. Payment is made when booking and it is fully refundable if you cancel 24 hours in advance.
Best Jamaica Tours and Transfers - is located at desk 4 in the Transportation Hall. They have a great website. You can chat with them via WhatsApp. They track your airline so they know when to expect you. They have complimentary child seats. They have a bunch of different vehicle options depending on how large your group is. You can customize your booking with addons of beverages and even a cake.
They are all within a few dollars in pricing so it will likely come down to what other extras you need or want as well as which cancellation policy you are most comfortable with.
We also tell you about www.greenapples.store in case you need some souvenirs or supplies delivered to your resort. Be sure to check that your resort will allow deliveries before you order. Most do but some do not.

Totally agree with you about taking your own private transfer We almost always avoid the free hotel transfer We decided to take it this trip and got burned Waited over two hours standing in the humidity at the Cancun airport this week Our Westjet flight arrived on time and the transfer people were waiting but there was no ride available It was a late flight to begin with and by the time they dropped off two other couples we arrived at our resort around 1 am Never again
Yeppers! We waited for our transfers from Air Canada Vacations in Cancun for an hour and a half because some guests decided to stop at Margaritaville for several margaritas before they finally stumbled onto the bus. What a huge waste of time. Then the bus made stops at 3 other resorts before ours. We lost half the day. I'm with you, never again.
We are back there on Wednesday and private transfer and booked will be waiting. 😊👍

Is any taxi out of the airort at 10pm?.and my hotel us 10 min far away drom the airport .so how much is it for only one person
Taxis are very expensive out of the airport.
You can get quotes online from most transfer companies and see who gives you the best price.
10pm won't be a problem if you prebook. I wouldn't risk showing up without something booked.
Many companies also use WhatsApp for a quick chat about pricing. 🙂

No it isn't and unfortunately they aren't subtle about wanting a tip.
Hi, you said you used seasons how were they. I recently booked for excellence oyster bay how did you get the transfer setup. Did you do it before or after you got to airport.
Seasons was excellent. We had them included with our reservation to EOB. You should connect them about a week ahead of your trip. Give them your name, flight information etc. They will track your flight and you can meet them at their desk after you grab your bags at the airport.
Did you book a refundable rate with included transfers directly with the resort?

Really helpful video! After I watched your review videos on Excellence Oyster Bay, I just booked a last minute vacation there but my package doesn't include airport transfers. I checked out Seasons Tours and couldn't believe they wanted $245 USD for a couple round trip! I will definitely refer to your recommendations. BTW any advice on how much should I tip the driver each way for a private transfer, $10 or $20 USD?
