That was the best explanation of why Lucky reacted the way he did - when you think of the close knit world between Luke and Laura with Lucky - he was a witness every day to this love that was bigger than almost life.To then have it violently ripped away from you like that was almost like a psychotic break for him - everything he believed in and had faith in was stolen. To be able to come to terms with the fact that Laura forgave Luke and could love him in spite of the rape helped Lucky to understand that it wasn't black and white and everything he lived through with his parents was genuine. Him inviting his father over to let him know he understands how after Ruby dying and the divorce that he'll always be there for his father was very moving.
I should have asked this 10 clips ago,... where did Luke get that diamond. My first thought was IP. But he never actually got his hands on it 20 years ago...from the clips that I have seen.
"I got you...and lulu as a bonus", I hate to admit this but I never thought luke loved lulu half as much as he loved lucky, his golden child. Hard as that is to admit, I think it's just true. The role lucky played in his life (the first, real and true lucky) was just so much. In lukes neediness for what he lacked as an abusive child, only lucky and Laura were ever close to giving to him. Of course no one fills that role completely....and as a side note, I think the angel/savior/pedastol complex applies to luke and Laura a bit, unfortunately. And that Tracy was likes equal as much as I hate to admit, when it comes down to braving the world together, kinda like Carly did for sonny. Brenda and Laura were idolized and put on a pedastol (as great or sad as that may be i still love them to no end, lol).
I think that bc of the age difference lucky had a lot more time with luke & I think it was such a wonderful time in Luke's life when it was just the 3 of them. Also it's possible that lulu ( not being her fault at all ) with her aplastic anemia brought the cassadines back into Luke's life & luke was devastated that laura had a child with his worst enemy & the family he was at war with. She may sadly remind him of what became a terrible time for luke & nikolas telling lucky about the rape leading to lucky for the first time not only not idolizing his father but lucky told luke he hated him which as a father must have killed luke. Also luke simply spent a lot more time with lucky bc they were a family. He & laura split when she was little thus he spent far less time living with lulu. I mean during the aplastic anemia story luke was doing everything he could to find her a donor including looking for bobbies long lost daughter she gave up to be a donor. Also lucky was his first child & sometimes parents do favor their first born. Sometimes they favor the baby of the family like alan did with Jason. Also lucky was a boy & luke made him into his mini me & maybe he did not know how to relate to a daughter. Ethan came into his life as a young man & he loved ethan a lot. I agree luke favored lucky. The way he called him cowboy & maybe bc his dad was a bad father he was trying to be good to his son like he was giving back to himself. Yes lucky & luke had a special bond & lastly Tony Geary had off screen a great relationship with jonathan jackson that blrd into the characters. I saw when jj was a little boy how he cried winning his first emmy & thanked genie & tony. I think JJ in real life idolized tony. It's like steve burton & maurice. They became good freinds & u can pick that up in their characters. Same with steve & bradford later. They are very close & are buisness partners. First with that drink they were selling then port chuck their group that travelled singing. They now have the podcast. Gh seems to have so many real life couples that met on the show. More than any other soap. I only followed the abc ones but a lot of real life romances on that set. Kristen storms & brandon barasch, wally kurth & rena soffer, vanessa marcil & Steve burton & she & tyler christopher , kin shriner & genie Francis in the 70s, jonathan jackson & lisa ( hannah ) ingo & rebecca herbst , rebecca herbst & michael saucedo ( Juan ) jack wagner & kristin wagner , Laura wright & the guy who plays peter kristen Alderson ( starr ) & chad duell . Tyler christopher & natalia Livingston. I def think that's a lot of romances from a show.
I really can't stand this whole storyline with the attraction with Luke and Felicia !!! I didn't like it in the 90's and still don't Creeps me out somehow lol
As much as I like TG, I agree that growing old with Luke would be next to impossible. He's a cohort of Sonny, the "Don" of Port Charles. He's in cahoots with Faison. And his greatest romance now, sadly, is with the bottle. Besides, TG himself has said he didn't want to ride off into the sunset with Laura. Well, apparently he met his fate with a streetcar, under suspicious circumstances. No way he was going to pass away at 90 of natural causes. And I think TG wanted it that way.
Yes, she left her infant son behind. And her teenage son left home to live on the streets and in a box car. She is a great candidate to help with the out reach help for young people. ...
Both Luke and Laura always seem to have tons of money. They were traveling, bought a large house, large wardrobe. Laura stay-at-home mom most of her life. Not very realistic.

Warning to those that love Tyler Christopher (RIP we miss you so much) in these 1999 GH youtube videos. Within a month or two into year 2000 Tyler is gone and a new actor a "fake Nikolas" takes over", for about 2 years, while he lives in his new home. He has the relationship with Gia and such for about two years, but I just could not watch the fake Nikolas, it's just doesn't seem right, at least for me. So I pretty much skipped over GH until 2003 when "the new Emily" and Tyler returns...and their "love story slowly begins". After Lucky gets kidnapped and everyone thinks he is dead, a bit after that there is also a "new Lucky" so two new actors taking over both Nikolas and Lucky for a few years. And that to me just sucked!! Then we get another new actor "Again" playing Lucky for quite a few years, but he actually does a pretty great job..just in case FYI you want to fast forward onto 2003..

I think TG thinks he should have a hot dance partner. he did this in the 80's too. notice his shirt makes him look like he is having a midlife crisis which I think he is passed that age already. I love TG but the writers are really making this a joke, but I know that TG wanted to move on from L&L too. so maybe this is his stupid idea, I did read that TG wrote The End Game and the writers messed it all up and it got some bad reviews
