I just purchased one for a daily work commute just waiting for it to arrive. I saw the range and speed then you’re video and I was sold! For the price it’s a very good deal I’m just preparing to tighten that steering stem but I’m excited thank you for the review
Congratulations! It's not a bad scooter. I just reviewed another scooter that's very similar but slightly better in my opinion. Did you see that video? The Engwe Y600? czcams.com/video/MwzfFK8IQ4o/video.html
The best review on this product as I've seen.. nicely done
Awe thanks Samx! Feel free to share 😉
I’m 6,1 I fit on the scooter just fine to be fair to it I would definitely recommend to most people who want a scooter at a gd price and I can go hours on the scooter full speed and the battery barely goes down
How’s the scooter doing so far? Was there any problems with the suspensions?
Update?
How much do you weigh? I'm 7ft1 and 225 and having trouble finding something
@@seshansmith7690your poor wife😮
Yep I'm 6'3 250
and it RIPS now I do wish the deck was a lil bigger with 14 ft but im not complaining it's awesome
Tire pressure is really important with this scooter. If your air in the tires / innertubes gets below the recommended PSI (which is 50 psi for this scooter), you significantly increase your chance of getting a flat + your overall speed, turning ability, etc is all greatly affected.
Ive had to change the rear tube on this scooter model twice now. Both flats were caused due to low PSI and pinch flatted. Changing out the tube on this model isnt the easiest the first time around, but once you've done it a couple times it gets much easier. Easiest solution is just to keep your tires aired up in the first place.
Good advice!
Great review man, im trying to decide if i should get this or the iscooter ix3, what do you think?
Good question. The M4 Pro S+ has a little more speed and range. But the ix3 doesn't have that loud front spring suspension. Haha
I have one of these and the best mod you can do is ditch the awful standard handlebars and fit 31.8 720mm mountain bike riser bars..the handling and cornering massively improves and makes for a much more stable ride...also when tightening the bolt use thread locker on the bolt and let it cure for 24 hrs after tightening it
Ryan, thanks for the tips bud! I really appreciate it! I would agree 💯
Lol that was awesome to watch 😂 💥
Thanks!
I've been riding Lime scooters for 2 years. This summer I bought a PhantomGoGo scooter and had to send it back because it wasn't built very durable. I'm looking at this one now but my concern is where you say it wants to fall over and not to take curves too fast. Could you tell me how this issue is compared to riding a Lime or Byrd scooter?
Thanks for your question. I've never ridden a lime or Byrd scooter so I couldn't tell you. What I meant in the video was mostly for sitting. If your standing like on the Byrd or lime you are fine. When your sitting down your center of gravity is much lower. You use your hips to balance vs your legs. Imagine your riding sitting down and you use your hips to lean the scooter side to side. Some scooters are harder to lean into turns than others. While others are almost too easy to lean into. This one is on the too easy to lean into category. It's not bad you just have to be aware of that in turns so you don't fall or skid out.
Do you possibly remember the size needed to tighten the stem wobble? I have the extension just not sure what size socket I need
Yeah it should be 8mm.
Can i upgrage the condroler for more speed if so can u link the controler
Not that I know of. I'm sure you can but they don't offer one.
Good morning. My husband and myself are in our late 50’s, early 60’s and are looking for an e-scooter with an optional seat. It would be used for tootling around state parks while camping. Mostly roads. So speed is not an issue. Comfort, stability and battery life for obtaining a nice distance are the important features along with durability of course. Our height is 5’10” and max weight is my husband at 240lbs. Our budget is 700 or less. Do you have and recommendations or suggestions of brands and models that might fit into that category?
Also, thought on the ENGWE brand?
Edited to add: an E-Bike is also an option
Hello, this one may not be the best for you and your husband. Maybe look at something like the Caroma Peak. It's got bigger wheels so it's more stable. It's bigger than a scooter but smaller than an e-bike. Also they are only $300 each so you can get 2 for under your budget. Check out my review here. There is a link to buy from Amazon in my description. czcams.com/video/Kv9BVJVIzeM/video.html
@@HobartsReviews Thanks!
Great video, quick question , the amazon link you posted , in tje description does say "+" is just says the regular iem4.. if that link is the same on in this video, let me know , might be a dumb question i just want to make sure , the one on this video is the one om getting in that amazon link
Hey John, thanks for your question and it's not a stupid question at all! This is the correct one as I just checked it for you. The difference is the battery size. One of them has 10 amp hours and the other one has 16 amp hours. The link goes to the 16 amp hour model, so you're good! Thanks for purchasing from my link, it really helps the channel out!
Heck yeah, purchasing soon, thank you sir!
@@HobartsReviews another question I am 5 feet 7 , do you think there would be enough room for me to attach a small seat in the middle of the scooter so my 9 year old could also ride? I seen attachable seats that would work, but just by looking not sure if there will be enough room, would love to hear your opinion on this
Nice rewiev
Thanks!
Inside my tool kit there is a black screw. What is it for? Nothing telling me to use it for anything but it must be needed
I think it's an extra for the handlebars or something. Look around and see if it matched something in the scooter.
Should review the evercross h5 next
Thanks!
I’m currently riding a 15 mph scooter for costco, I wanna buy but this but I’m worried about the warranty. I’ve seen reviews on amazon and walmart saying that they had contacted the company about malfunctions about the scooter but the company doesn’t respond very well. What are your thoughts about the warranty issue if I buy it from Amazon or Walmart?
Hey thanks for reaching out! So yeah every scooter company has their issues. Even companies like Apollo and Nanrobot have issues sometimes with customer service. But in my experience when you get a hold of them they do help you out. If in warranty they will send you all the parts you need but you have to do the work yourself. It's the same with all manufacturers. BUT if you buy from Amazon you can buy the extra Asurion warranty that will cover you even if the manufacturer flakes out. They will give you all your money back and you can buy another one or something else. Hope this helps and make sure to use my link if you buy from Amazon. 😉👍
@@HobartsReviews Alright, man. If I buy it I will definitely buy it with your link. Thanks a lot for answering my question.
The 2024 edition has the thumb trigger and I think some damper on the front suspension. Also on sLe for $529 as of may 14th
Thanks for the tip! I'm glad they made some changes for the better!
I received the scooter yesterday. I have the same problem with the bolt and the steering. Can you help me out?
I looked and I don't have the information anymore on what length and size the Allen key needs to be. I sold the scooter and gave them the tool. contact customer service and see if they can help or return it and get another one hopefully without the same problem.
I jus purchased this one but it only goes 15.5 mph and its on the turbo selection...i figure there's gotta be some other setting??
Hey Zach, yeah you have to go into the settings menu and change the top speed. I think you click menu button 5 times to get into menu. Find speed and raise from 25km to 45km and you are good.
deciding on to buy this or the kugoo kirin m4 pro… any suggestions? nice video 👍🏽
It's the same scooter with a different name on it. So yeah...haha
@@HobartsReviews i noticed that lol, all been made in the same factory, but different brands…
How about this or the iscooter ix5? or is that the same too hahah.
Thanks for the reply!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello what are the dimensions of the space of the board for feet (lenghtxwidth)? I wear big number of shoes 35 cm lenght
I don't have the scooter anymore to measure for you but I wear size 11 shoes and it was big enough while sitting. Standing I feel it's wide enough but not long enough for my stance. So as I say in the video it's good for smaller people.. haha
@@HobartsReviews Thanks for answering! Friend i see your feet are one front and one back when you are siting hehe.. i think this is not ok for me in sizd
Just bought one and i cant ride it because i cant even get the stem to lock in place, how much strength is required coz im stumper
You got to really crank it
I’m 6’0 and 260lbs, what scooter would you suggest that is also affordable? Anyone who has any idea pls let me know, thanks. And great review btw.
Hey, what kind of budget are you in? Did you want a seat or no?
@@HobartsReviews hi, my budget is maybe £600 which is around $700 I think. And I’d like a chair if possibkeb
Is it water proof? What IP rating it has?
It's IP54 rating.
I wonder if user can replace this tire with a solid tire?
I don't think so, but I'm not sure why you'd want to. The ride is so much more rough with solid tires. But to each his own
Is it worth buying and can you ride long rides
I'll be honest, it's not one of my favorites but not bad for the price. Yeah it's got good range for sure but the front suspension is loud and worthless. It's pretty quick too after you get going. How about the Ausom Leopard? That is a nice scooter and it has a seat that's one of the best I've ever seen. I have a video on my channel. czcams.com/video/8VPy02BO3h8/video.htmlsi=ymj0TPvpZyzpFbVW
Hi can you connect this scooter with your phone?
No unfortunately you can't.
How long do they last?
How long does what last?
I have the M4 Pro and can't change the speedometer from KLM to MPH???
Have you tried the P menu settings? It's in the manual
The manual sucks. I had this same issue. If I'm not mistaken, hold the power and M buttons till in P mode, then hold the power button about 3 seconds and from there you should be able to change it or hit M to.
@@stopit9280 i agree. the manual does not address much of anything. Its supposed to have cruise control but how?
I returned my scooter and got tf outta there. I got shipped a defective scooter, and problems kept arising and the scooter hadn't even been used an entire month. I don't want to have to become a scooter tech just to be able to ride the scooter out the box. I'm busy and a brand new product should work as advertised out the box..@@paulamelo3530
This vs Evercross H5, what is the difference? They look like the same picture.
Actually they look the same..haha
I’ve got same scooter it’s alright, it drives great but that front suspension does rattle if your driving off road or on grass, I don’t much so it doesn’t bother me. Never bothered with a seat I’d rather stand, I’ve heard about the stem need tightening but I havn’t had any trouble with it needing tightening. This guy would put me off buying it if I watched this without owning one lol
I did fall off first day them brakes sure are sharp
Thanks for the comment! I haven't had any noise from any of my suspension so far and I've ridden it on grass but not much off-road. I'd rather stand as well but I put the seat on for the video so I can show it. Why would I put you off buying the scooter? I'm curious...
I’m another comment you about comparing it to another scooter you said them loud springs on the front, something like that. Tbh companies give you scooters and you just big them up whatever it is I think
@@Beggars-Beliefstr8 up you don’t no how to ride I have had this scooter for 3years now and it’s done me good and it’s only got better
@@user-vr2op9qe5h you might be right I am 57 and use it to get to the pub that a good cpl miles away, mines lost too speed now. Must be the battery, do you still get 28 mph out of it
Check and make sure it's your head light that's not rattling. That's a spot other have had issues with and thought the noise was coming from the springs / suspension.
I herd you can fold the there’s as well is that true?
Huh? You can fold on the deck, seat and handlebars.
@@HobartsReviewsyeah saw video who did review on the exact same scooter and he folded the seat as well.
I love my s+
Awesome!
How loud is it while ridning?
It's not too bad. You mostly hear the tires.
@@HobartsReviews okay thanks. I have an e scooter now and it sound TERIBBLE and I dont like it. Also can you have a passanger on it?
I have same problem with the steering ,and i couldn't fix it
Yeah you have to make a tool and remove the handlebars to get down in there to tighten. Do you still have it?
@@HobartsReviews yes l do still have it
Can you turn off the leds?
Unfortunately no....
@@HobartsReviews so wat does that led button do the one next to the horn and indicater
Nice scooter but i am thinking about joyor hm
I wouldn't. My neighbor that I sometimes ride with is on his 7th joyor in just a few months. They all break within a few days or weeks. This leopard is built solid with quality parts. No hiccups so far!
what watch are you wearing ?
Haha I had to go back and look. Love the question as I am a watch guy. I think it's just my Invicta 8926OB I got from Amazon.
@@HobartsReviews I love it I have the same one in the "pepsi' colorway I am also a watch obsessive ;)
Isn't a kukirin a better deal?
It's the same scooter.
Nice scooter! And video..haha
Thanks so much!
How is it going uphill?
Great actually. A slight slowdown but not by much.
@@HobartsReviews Thank you
hey man good video but can you send me the amazon like if there is one please and thank you
Here you go. amzn.to/3M2RYnT
thank you

are yo usure its the right one becuase i watched a few for vids and they have the red one like the parts on yours are orange and the one they have is red @@HobartsReviews
How does it do on hills
It actually does pretty good. The motor's pretty powerful on hills. Just a little bit slow on acceleration though.
Dont like the rear suspension looks like its allready compressed
It's not bad but the front is worse. You should check out my review for the Engwe Y600. It's almost the same but has a few upgrades including the suspension.
@@HobartsReviews I have the Engwe s6 and it's alot better than this in my opinion bro I did a short review on my channel about it
