Setting up for my first use with this and you have helped immensely. I come from years of single track use with the 300 and that is exactly how I use it. We do live worship for congregation singing and this revolutionised using tracks because we could repeat verses chorus etc and not just start the song thru to end I scrutinised the 600 to make sure it could do this before I bought it and when I set it up last night It worked with stop but not the track change I had missed the play setting. Went to bed concerned I'd missed this difference which would have made using it so difficult then found your video this morning. Thank you for your help much appreciated.
That's a great tip. I am coming to the RC 600 from Ableton. Ableton just got to be too much haul to a gig live with computers, midi keyboards, pedal, audio interface etc. This makes the looper work much more like Ableton live.

When you set stop to loop so it ends the tracks at the end of the loop, is it possible to allow the ALL start stop to stop tracks immediately? for stops in songs etc.
appreciate your content. I'm struggling with this and can't find away around it unfortunately. I'm in mode 1. I want bank 1 to be receiving my drums from an external source. I want to be able to play that at a short loop say of 4 beats. I want that to be the bpm of the track so I set that first and it saves me looping drums for say 4 x 4 beats. I then want to go in to bank 2 and set a loop length say of 12 bars. now this is where it gets tricky and can't figure it out. say I've recorded guitar rhythm in bank two and now want to add other parts like harmonies or bass parts on the guitar. I want to add that to bank 3. for some reason they won't quantize together and the loop seems off. I know there's a global quantize but is there a way to set it so that when I set drums for 4 bars that banks two and three can be played longer but be quantized together? you can do this on the rc300 just by putting bank 1 in free mode and other two banks in auto mode. I bought this pedals for sound quality improvements, more inputs and outputs but it doesn't seem to do the one thing I want it to. I'll have to take it back otherwise.

loving these tips. I'm wondering how you can keep all the tracks ending at the end of the loop but not have that affect the all start/stop button. I find that when i have the tracks set up this way I'm unable to cut the song clean as the 'all stop' button also stops at the end of the loop. Is there a way to separate the 2?

Will that also work when u have it set up to play multiple tracks at the same time? and will it work with "play" and "record"? for example.. If U have many tracks playing simultaneously, +if u hit "record" more than 1/2 way through the shortest loop that is currently recorded, is there a way to make it do the same thing with "record?" (so that instead of instantly recording, it will start recording at the end of the shortest loop?) +same question with play... if u hit "play" more than 1/2 way through the shortest loop that is playing, can "loop mode" be used to have it NOT instantly start playing?? (but rather have it start at the end of the shortest loop on some other track?

I have a RC-500 and I'm wandering if the problem I have with it remains in RC-600. When all tracks are in Play Mode SINGLE and Loop Sync ON so I can play in sync with the internal rhythm all tracks must have the same size. Otherwise when the a shorter track ends and next is a longer one the loop doesn't start from the begining. Thanks for your nice work.

With the rc 300, I could create a track with a simple chord progression (GCeD) and then loop other things on top on tracks 2 and 3, starting and ending them whenever I wanted, and it would play the added loops on top of the first track, right where I recorded them. Now, with the settings of the rc 600, they keep repeating immediately and continuously, instead of "staying" where I recorded them on the chord progression of track 1. Hi, phantastic, thanks a lot! what i still miss is (what has been possible on rc-300) if you have all tracks at auto masure, and loopsync is on BUT on looplength, that you can go from one record to another, imidiatly. what happens to me is i go for Rec (4 bars) overdub (same 4 bars) and than dirrectly to Rec on track 2, that it lets me wait, untill the next bar comes... Rc300 could swich dirrectly. :-/
These videos are very helpful, the manual does not state much. You have any insights to FX configuration that would replicate a bass (via a 6 string)? And you have a video on how you assigned pedals to varies functions? Seems some of the pedals are redundant
FX G2b and/or Transpose -12 seems to work. When you were recording tracks 1 & 2, different instances, was the rhythm also being recorded on those tracks? I saw the light was flashing.
Hello Teej I need to know more about that intro setting ... If it was inadvertantly activated by mistake for the second and third parts, (chorus & bridge) could it cause a short pause before recording those parts? Would you see the flashing LED's again? Someone in our FB group has an issue resembling this ...

But with the second and third track, when it's playing what I recorded, it makes a little pause right where the loop ends/starts. Have you also noticed this? Thank you so much in before hand. Yes I had this issue as well, I believe it is a glitch or a poorly implemented feature. I discuss this in a video I uploaded recently as well as a work around to it.
I’m having an Error in my new rc600 system error lc1258 . I updated to the latest firmware and it still give me the same error. In general I wanted to know. Do you have a lot of issues still , with your rc600?
I myself have been wondering how to activate the drum fills; there is a setting to select whether they are on or off but nothing to select when or how they are activated. On the Boss RC-10R all you had to do to activate a fill was tap the Rhythm pedal, but it does not appear this feature is on the Boss RC-600 as of now (at least from what I can determine - perhaps I'm just missing it). A big feature to neglect, if you ask me! Hopefully in a firmware update it is added.

Yes, if you press the "exit" and "enter" button at the same time. Your screen will ask if you want to "write" or "clear". Press your 2nd know in one to "write" your savings to memory bank. Now Press the "enter" button. Your screen will flash "executing" for 1 seconds and this will save your settings to your memory bank that you have had selected.
Serious question. When I'm recording a loop, say a chord progression and I reach the end and press the record button again to stop recording, I always get a moment of complete silence between the end of the loop and the beginning again. How can I get rid of the pause?
It sounds like you are starting your chord progression a tad bit too late after hitting the record button. You should be hitting the record button RIGHT as you strum your first chord (on the 1 down beat) There are a couple features that can help with it. The Quant feature will help you tap record early while it brings you in. Also make sure sync is on as well, it helps brings all tracks in on that 1 down beat at the same time.
Hello. I have a problem. I bought a new Boss RC 600 looper. On my computer I have songs made on my old Boss RC 50 looper. How do I make the RC 50 wav files work on the RC 600? Because so far the RC 600 looper shows the message FILE NOT SUPPORTED. And I have a lot of trouble, because there are 10 songs that are not easy. RC 600 wav file and RC 50 wav file. But in the RC 50 I mostly have MONO files, or is that a problem? And some settings need to be made .. tips. Please. I have a recital in a few days ..
I want to create a 7 measure long loop but it doesnt allow ,me to. it completes itself to be 8 instead. i even set the auto measure to 7 and it still waits one measure to complete it to 8. Anyone else had this issue before? Thank you

Thanks for the video. The problem with your setting is that when Tracks Sync=ON, the second loop MUST be a multiplier of the first loop (First loop= 2 measures; second loop =4 for example). try to set the first loop to 2 measures and the second loop to 3 measures and jump between the loops (at playback), see that the first loop doesn't start from the beginning! the solution is to turn all Tracks sync to OFF, in that scenario, the playback gets wabble and un-sync - try it
What happens if your loops are not the same length with loop sync on and single mode tracks? With play mode set to loop end, will it jump to the middle of the second loop due to the loop sync timing, or always start at the beginning of the new single mode track? That may violate the rule of loop sync, as you could have other loops also in sync playing, and jumping to the start of a loop would throw that off. you would have to have single mode tracks with loop sync off to have variable lengths. But it won’t quantize to measure unless sync is on, which is unfortunate. Timing is never perfect this will cause drift with other loops or rhythm. Why not allow quantize to measure regardless of loop sync, which is really a playback behavior. Wanting tracks to play sequentially from their beginning doesn’t mean you don’t want them quantized to keep perfect time with the length you choose. Insight appreciated if I’m misunderstanding any of this behavior.
seriously, YES. this is so weird. of course we want to be able to cue tracks. if two alternate loops are different lengths it's pretty hopeless. i actually think this behaviour is so weird it will be changed in a future update...

Uploading a video explaining this, it seems like a glitch to me in the software. There is a workaround to it but it's not ideal.
How can you control the sequence of tracks, song part sequence automated? Would be very helpful, thanks.

I play loops to play over and over, but when the loop starts again there is always a small amount of quiet space. Any tips on how to prevent that?

Hitting the stop button will stop the recording and save it. When you hit the rec/play button, it will play your riff/loop that you created. So yes 😊

Why does my RC 600 change tempo ? If I set it to 90 then start looping, ill look down and it will be 156 ?

My issue with modern boss loopers is u can no longer use your first loop recording to automatically set the tempo....😢
