I still plan to use diatomaceous earth and other people are saying mix equal parts borax and sugar with some water and a waffle or sweet type of bread so that they can take that back to the Colony for the others to eat so they can die also . The Gel Bait stuff is what the professionals use what you can buy it in places like Home Depot . Should you get infested with water called little fire ants you will not believe what a nightmare because usually the most colonies only have one queen but with little fire ants they can have as many as 70 and you won't believe how fast they multiply and how quickly that that army of ants can move and invade .

Neither white sugar (refined and bleached) or Baking Soda (chemical compound of sodium carbonate, CO2, & water) are naturally occurring, which usually denotes that the substance can be found in nature without artificial aid. Those two things typically aren't.

We refresh every few years - no ants in the home, and they stay out in the yard where they should be, working the soil.
