Hey guys.
In this DCS World Simulator video I have a mission for you guys that has the F16 Viper , you can join my Discord (Link above) and try it out.
I'm striking a target with the AGM-65 Maverick and the CBU-97' then 2 SU33 rolled in and I'm fighting them BVR style.

I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

The loudest USAF bird I've heard was a B-1B Lancer. 4x GE F-110s at full burner is earth shattering loud.
You got that right. Four F-16's taking off in airshow proximity.
@VagabondTexan only ever seen one take off at time bruv. The Thunderbirds were invited to Africa Aerospace and defense in 2022, but I believe they were already booked.
@@Reaper_03-01 I was kind of kidding. Formation takeoffs are cool, but I was just joking because the B-1 and F-16 engines are pretty much the same. So, if you saw a B-1 take off (I have too and it's epic) it's like 4 F-16's taking off welded together. 😁
@VagabondTexan the Bone is one of those jets, my dude. It flies over and if its on your side, you're cheering. If you're its target, you've just realised how epically screwed you are about to be. Its a shame they want to retire them.
Hands down the Lancer is king. You can hear it taking off from over a mile away.
Love the F-16, been my favourite fighter jet since I got a toy model of it as a kid back in 2000. One of the best looking pieces of military hardware too.

I grew up on a SAC base. Yes, B52's, C141, C5, KC135's are loud but the loudest aircraft I've ever heard is a Harrier.
Louder that a F4, F18 or even and F16.
the loudest jets the F4 Phantom, F105 Thud, and a fully loaded B52 are thunder makers when the F16 came to base it was incredibly quiet.
Carswell was once a loud place to be near. F-16 is much quieter.
Don't forget the A6 and the Harrier jump jet
they are turbojets, no?
@@bibbr4137 F-4 and F-105 were. B-52 currently is not, rather the Hotel model B-52 is powered by turbofans.
The F-104 and C-141 can and should be on that list, too 😉
At 12:16 I know everything would probably be evacuated but imagine being in one of those cars on the highway and seeing an F-16 diving down and shooting at the tanks just a couple feet away from where you are driving.
My office is on airport property right beside a Air National Guard base and runway. Vipers are ALWAYS doing touch and gos and they rattle windows constantly with those burners on takeoff. They go space shuttle status right off the tarmac.
Funny you mentioned ruining morning meetings for people: my office is 500 m from an airport and once a year we get F16s flying around, training for the local air show. Needless to say, when that happens, everybody is on the roof admiring aerial maneuvers, instead of working. :)
I lived 5 miles from an airport that had F4 Phantoms based on it. When they ran up to full thrust at the end of the runway they were audible inside my house!
I live and work in the flight path of Lackland AFB. We have F-16's fly over every day. I thought they were loud until we had an F-22 fly over. That F-22 is loud AF when it goes over.
I would pay for a viper to interupt my morning meeting lol

Great work Longshot! Overflying the target is only when you have air and ground superiority. Like when we did show of force flights during GWOT.

I remember being at school and there must have been some sort of exercise happening in the area, all of a sudden Tornadoes ripped past at low altitude. The windows didn't shatter but they sure were vibrating. It was so loud! Teacher lost control of the class, we all ran outside to check it out!

When the vipers come in for approaches near my old house, they were much quieter than the Eagles. Viper sounds like an RC fanjet, and the Eagle sounds like its literally ripping the fabric of reality.
So far this year’s quarterly projections will.. “BAP!!” F-16.

The F-16 is the loudest jet you've heard. Go see an F-35, they are extremely loud. I've heard the Phamtom and the F-35 is louder.
I feel like the F35 is louder than the F16. When I was at an airshow the F35 just about made my soul leave my body whereas the F16 was very reasonably "quiet". What are others' thoughts? Maybe it was just a case of how much throttle was used for each?
do you use any shaders and if so what are your settings?
LongShot, I believe those lag spikes you're getting is related to VRAM. DCS as I understand uses a lot of it, and the 2080 Ti at 11GB is probably hitting the sealing. Have you checked what VRAM usage is during game play? I use MSI afterburner. Your videos are high quality, so I am almost certain you're running out of VRAM.

How do you use TGP with maverick now?
I can't use BSGT to align them up when cold start since the latest update. I can only use hot started F16 with Maverick already installed.
Why was there not a twin turbo version or variant of the F-16 ever developed? And is the "Viper" an upgraded Falcon?
Longshot, if you think the F-16 is loud, you should have heard the F-14D Tomcat. It had two of the same engines. But even that doesn't compare to the loudest I've personally heard, which is the EA-6B Prowler launching off a carrier deck. Those suckers will shake your fillings loose!

Hey LongShot, I like your combined mission. So, here I have one spicy idea for another one. Imagine the turkey 🇹🇷 will be a Trojan horse, and helps Russia in the conflict with the Ukraine. For this, two German eurofighter (31 squadron) are send to the turkey see to destroy a important harbor for the Russian supply. And the turkey air force try to defend. Can you handle this ? 😉
I never understood the use of the cbu-97. In CCRP it takes like a million years with the weapon release button pressed for dropping it (and sometimes it doesn't even work), and you have the CBU-105, which does the same and it's so much easier to drop... By the way, how do you mark a plane from the datalink? I've never saw that hexagon symbol before... Great video, as always. Cheers, mate!
Set the HSD as SOI, then you can slew the little cursor over any friendly and hit TMS up short.

So you have: 3x120Cs, 1xAIM9X, 1xMav and 1xCBU97? The mav (126LB) on one side with the 1xAIM9x (188lbs) and 1x120C(356lbs) but on the other wing you have a massive unbalance with your 2x120Cs (356lbs each) with a 930LB CBU-97. What an odd loadout.
Is it IDF/AF radio chatter at the end? I think chatter is hebrew
